Today on Holden’s Obsession with Gay Republikkkans in the Gaggle

Way back onDecember 8, 2003, our friend Les Kinsolving had hypocritical gay meth addict Pator Ted Haggard confused with country legend Merle Haggard.

Q Since the President is no doubt aware of the millions of his supporters in the southern Baptist convention, the National Evangelical Alliance, and given his statement in London that Christians and Muslims worship the same God, my question, what is his reaction to Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention who said the President is simply mistaken andMerle Haggard of the NEA [sic], who said, Mohammed’s central message was submission, Jesus’ central message was love?

MR. McCLELLAN: I think the President has stated his views repeatedly. He’s also stated repeatedly that Islam is a faith that teaches peace. And he’s made that very clear.

  1. Hey am I the only one to notice Haggard, Bush’s pastor so to speak, has his gay hooker and Bush had Gannon, his gay hooker. Haggard’s meth vs. Bush’s coke jaw. Birds of a feather…

  2. Funny I thought Islam’s central tenet was submission to God which for all the fundie talk of love is really what they preach too.

  3. I have only one problem with the meth part of the story. Haggard’s teeth are *way* too good.

  4. Poor Merle, first he turns 21 in prison doin’ life without parole, then he gets confused with an alleged hypocrit of the highest order.
