  1. 5 – now CNN – can you update your silly excuse for top news stories of 2006?
Granted some of this is not much better…but the Beeb did all right with this quiz

  2. 9! I would have gotten 10 but for the Borat question. It was my first choice because I thought I’d heard something reported on it but I dithered and picked Dan Brown figuring that he’d be more familiar with the “all publicity” quote.

  3. I was graded a 10, and I still say that Oprah is the most powerful woman. The quote about all publicity is a statement of Brendan Behan, who said:
“There is no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary,” but I thought kazakhstan was anti-Borat. My bad.

  4. 8 out of 12 and I would have scored higher if it wasn’t for those meddling kids!

  5. Hey! I went 7 out of 12 … WTF is the “mutiny” question all about?

  6. As it was the BBC, I anticipated no better than 50%, not knowing it would be such a short quiz. Due to the luck of some easy guesses, I managed a 7/12.

  7. I made 9 of 12, but I always was a good guesser on tests. Based on actual knowledge I would have had about a 3.

  8. BBC did a job on me, now I am a real sickie.
Guess I’m going to have to tell’em
    that’s I’ve got no cerebellum
    I got 5/12 right.
But there was so much wrong about 2006 I don’t feel bad being wrong about it.
