Your President Speaks!

Yesterday at the White House, celebrating African American History Month.

Not A Man

I appreciate so very much members of the Congress for joining us: first the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel. That’s an achievement. I’m looking forward to working with this achievement to get some things — to get some things done.

He’s Just A Guy Who Can’t Accept No

And so they said, you’re a hero. He said, no. Yet, Wesley — I told him — I said, you’re a hero. He told me, no.

Never Been To California

I want to tell you the story of Bonnie St. John. She grew up in California, which is — most places in California are not very close to the snow.

Plenty Of Catchers In The White House, Apparently

See, it wasn’t all that often — let me just say this — at certain points in our past, we didn’t have a lot of African American pitchers.

Damn, That’s Good Blow

With you today happens to be a — I like to call him a former Texas Ranger — Chicago Cub fans remember him as a Chicago Cub. Any baseball fan knows he’s a Hall of Famer — and that’s Fergie Jenkins, a member of the Black Aces, as well as Mike Norris, former pitcher for the — Mudcat, don’t sit down yet — sit up yet. Mudcat Grant, everybody.

Always Lied

The strength of the African American community has always lied in the hearts and souls of our citizens, people who refuse to allow adversity to diminish the spirit and extinguish the drive to make America live up to its promise.

OK – I get that Shrub was involved in Baseball and supposedly knows something about it.
But **PLEASE** tell me that he didn’t spend the whole time on African American History month talking about African Americans and Sports and ignore the **OTHER** contributions that African Americans make.
That is, that he didn’t re-enforce the stereotype of Blacks and sports. If so, this ranks right up there with Perot’s “You People” speech to the NAACP.
As Shrub is white, let me just say, “Shrub, you’re a credit to your race.”

This from some one who is an authority on the subject!

So Dubya says Charlie Rangel is an achievement, not a man?
Rangel’s already said it best about the Decider: that he has laid to rest for all time the myth of white superiority!

Sorry, but I must respectfully disagree–Shrub is not a credit to his race, nor is he a credit to any race that would have him (certainly, not the human race–maybe, to the Republicans, though).
