If I worked as a career attorney in the Justice Department and that person were placed in a position of authority over me, I think I would have resigned pronto. She was, I think, just another of Bush’s “fuck you” hires, like his recess appointments of people who had already been rejected by the Senate, an effort to show people that he can push around and humiliate people who are more qualified than he is.
