  1. IN case I haven’t done it publicly, thanks to all the First Draft krewe for coming down. We truly do appreciate it.
    And screw Maine…

  2. In my experience, Maine folk are salt of the earth, but they have a tendency to speak before thinking. Way before thinking. Give them a chance, though. Send a letter to the editor to their paper (a nice one, mind you), and I’m betting a bunch of Mainers will be down to NOLA in a heartbeat.

  3. PIng is the sound a submarine’s sonar makes when they’re trying to find out if someone is there. It’s also the name of a unix command that basically does the same thing with a computer to see if it’s active and on the network.

  4. Ashley has written a marvelously polite letter that has been sent out to Maine post-haste. I just couldn’t tell him so myself on his blog ’cause it thinks I am spam. If I were, I’d be in a can.

  5. Apparently, if I type in all my info (name, email, URL) rather than using my TypePad account to make a comment, I get my comment posted. Don’t know why it thinks I’m spam…

  6. I’m sorry you’re having problems. I’m trying your method with this comment now…
