Prosecutors in Minnesota charged two conservative activists, James O’Keefe and Cam Higby, on Wednesday with felony identity theft and unlawful voting.
The complaints allege that O’Keefe, 42, and Higby, 26, wore disguises and used hidden cameras while giving poll workers the names and addresses of four registered voters at Minneapolis polling places during the August primary. The voters had not authorized them to use their identities, prosecutors said.
The complaints do not allege that either man cast ballots. Each faces one count of identity theft and one count of unlawful voting, which covers misidentifying oneself while applying for a ballot. Each count carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, or both.
The pair later posted videos on social media of the visits, during which they were dressed in what they called Muslim clothing: Higby’s face covered by a black veil and O’Keefe wearing a long white robe and skullcap.
But wait—there’s video:
Where to start? The costumes? The incredibly stupid accent? How about the fact that they represent themselves 4 separate times using the names of real voters? The fact O’Keefe talks to his cameraman still using the same stupid fake accent? Or his comment that the costumes and the accent make the whole thing “less ridiculous”?
And they weren’t content to leave it there—they took the act to Florida:
The staff’s responses are wonderful. O’Keefe and Higby, not so much.
And you would think that being indicted for voter fraud might make you a little more cautious, but nope:
And that’s even more video of their crimes. Except it never seemed to dawn on either of them that using someone else’s name and addresses—as they do in that video—is a crime.
It’s almost as if these right wing influencers are obsessed with voter fraud because it’s something they do all the time. For example, another one of these weirdos, Scott Pressler, is a one man band trying to expose vote fraud in Pennsylvania. You already know what happens next:
Scott Presler, a cofounder of Gays for Trump who has repeatedly promoted election fraud allegations, is facing questions about whether political associates who used his Pennsylvania address to vote met the state’s residency requirements.
Presler, a longtime conservative organizer who spread election fraud theories, acknowledged through his political action committee in a statement to The Bulwark that other individuals had used his home as their voter registration address. The PAC maintained that they lived there while working in Pennsylvania.

Presler purchased the Beaver County home and voted in the state in 2024. According to The Bulwark’s review of voting records, three people outside Presler’s family also used the address to cast ballots in that election.
They include Florida consultant Heather Langley, who voted in Florida in both 2020 and 2025, and conservative social media influencer Alfred Ashley, best known for his work in Oklahoma.
According to The Patriot-News, Langley used the address in 2024 even though she listed Louisiana as her home state at the same time. Ashley, who posts as Diligent Denizen, posted in 2024 about moving “to Pennsylvania JUST to vote for Trump!”
Every MAGA accusation is a confession.
