Gee, I’d like to think that McCain could win. But I doubt it. The electorate has changed. We live in an age of narcissism. This is the most self-indulgent generation in history. They want it and they want it now and witout effort. The Dalai Bama will give them all without any effort at all.
No rational person would trust McCain’s utterances regarding SCOTUS nominees. And the islamofascist thing is getting old, given the crap that’s going down here in the USA. Not to imply it is not a danger. It is. But as long as Al-Qaida and the Taliban have safe havens, nothing will change. Americans will just keep dying to maintain something less than a stalemate.
McCain is severely underperforming Bush, consistently behind in OH, CO, VA, NM, IA, and NV in poll after poll. Right now he looks like he would be lucky to get about 230 EVs. Talk of a landslide is very premature. Even in PA, which all Freepers thought was a lost cause for Obama after the bitter comments, McCain is behind by double digits.
Let’s wait until he pulls even in the polls, or at least in one poll.
