BOOK GOOD

Joe the Plumber gets reviewed at Barnes and Noble:

I had a hard time putting the book down. The book echos the every day
struggle that we, as American Citizens, deal with each and every day of
our lives. Joe is a very down to earth person with strong moral values,
one that “every day Americans” can relate to and identify with. Having
said that, I can see why the liberal main-stream media and liberal
government officals find him to be such a threat: Joe speaks the truth
and people listen. They do not want the people of our nation to know
the truth! I highly recommend this book for everyone, especially our
youth, for they are the ones that are going to deal with our “mess” for
decades to come.

Joe overcame the many obstacles in his life and grew up to inspire
millions of Americans to stand up for what’s right for themselves and
their country. It’s an inspiring true story that is never dull.

This book is for anyone who wants to know how a sudden burst into
celebrity can help but also hurt the people closest to you. This book
details how a small turn of events in a simple day can change your life
forever.

I recommend this book highly.

And at Amazon:

I had some major goosebumps several times. Read this book! You will be truly inspired. –Margaret, Jenkins, KY

I
just finished reading Joe s book and all I can say is WOW! I love how
he thinks and expresses himself. I laughed during every chapter – it
was so entertaining! –Glynis, Biddeford, ME

The book is fantastic and I read it in two days. Keep working for our country Joe! –C. W., Flowery Branch, GA

But the liberal media in the form of tags DISAGREE:

  1. ooooooh! Goosebumps.
Wonder how many of these reader-reviewers were paid shills?

  2. somebody needs to take this ‘book’ and beat the shit out of mcPUTZ. and then throw the rest of the copies at the gnews HARD!

  3. What the hell!
I’d ask “who writes this stuff?”, but I honestly don’t want to know. It’d be like heading into Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, I imagine, minus the literary cachet. Bleccch.

  4. You see this is what I should have done! I should have cranked out a book to hit the shelves in 2 months. Oh , I forgot, it’s different when you are a republican. They have wingnut welfare and an entire infrastructure to support them and their crazy books.
And since books are the way that you get the opportunities to go on the various talk radio shows, and cable shows and speaking gigs at the Heritage Foundation and at the AEI (where all the money is) Joe the unlicensed Plumber might just make enough money to buy that business after all.

  5. A “threat”?
Last I checked, his buddy McCain got his ass handed to him in November. The vast majority of Americans have no idea who “Joe The Plumber” is and just don’t give a fuck about his book.

  6. Funny, I used to write music reviews for Barnes&Noble.com. It goes without saying that when you are “reviewing” product for an outlet that alsosells said product, you’re not going go too negative. I had to constantly edit myself and think, “well, someone out there will like this dreck.”
    I don’t write there anymore.

  7. Speaking of books, I’m going to whore for a minute here: I’m writing a book on the realities of sex, birth control and STDs (the aim is to be anti-Abstinence Only) aimed at 16-21 year olds.
As part of this project I’ve created a survey questionnaire to get input from fellow adults on their first experiences in order to better address the questions of kids currently facing these issues. It’s pretty personal, but no one (not even me) will be able to identify you or your answers.
Anyway, if you feel able and willing to help out, that would be great; the survey link ishere. It’s mostly multiple choice or true/false (and most of them have a “prefer not to answer” bubble), so it should go fairly quickly.

Thanks (and apologies to Athenae for hijacking her post)
