Would love to get together…my next trip to NOLA should be within the month. If it’s not a weekend or a holiday I’ll definitely take a stop at your shop. Until then, cheers.
One kinda, sorta good note: Red Stick now has its very own Lucy’s Surfer Bar. Which is nice…except that it reminds me of just how different this place is from New Orleans.

  3. Bullshit – that’s the great penis of Nebraska, right down to the Sower of Semen statue at the top.

Here in Loosiana, we call it “Huey’s erection” (built during Huey Long’s reign…replacing, ironically, a building that looks like a Gothic castle.) I thought the same architect designed both (The Gret Stet’s and Nebraska’s); a quick search around the internets says otherwise, although the building in Lincoln was apparently the inspiration.

And Florida has Askew’s erection built more recently but also a mini-skyscraper.
