I actually hope that Joe Miller wins. Senitor Merkouske has seniority – Miller would not. Summiter Michowsky has friends* in The Village – Miller does not. Summerer Mihgowrsucky might be harder to defeat in 6 years – maybe Miller won’t.
Yes, Miller may be an asshole, but what else would you expect from Alaska?
It all seems to hinge on an Alaska election law that, as I understand it, requires precise spelling of the name of a Write-in Candidate.
*Harry Truman said that if you want to have a friend in Washington, get a dog. So the term “friends” is relative.
I don’t really care who wins. Miller would be more entertaining so that would be fine with me: he’s better for the satire biz.
