Where We’re Going Now

After the sheriff, that’s where:

TPN founder Judson Phillips, in an article linked off the e-mail “The shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and the left’s attack on the Tea Party movement,”described the shooter as “a leftist lunatic” and Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik as a “leftist sheriff” who “was one of the first to start in on the liberal attack.” Phillips urged tea party supporters to blame liberals for the attack on centrist Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, who was shot through the head and is now fighting for her life, as a means of defending the tea party movement’s recent electoral gains.

And here we go.

  1. Aw, hell, all those displays of guns in public, and the veiled threats, the euphemisms and vague language about watering the tree of liberty, taking back “our” government, and treason, shucks, all that was just joshin’ around, havin’ a little fun with those wimpy libruls that wouldn’t know a real patriot from a garage door.
Don’t mean nuthin’ by it, of course, and, well, damn, ain’t it just like a pussy librul sheriff to blame us for what some whackjob librul did.
    Yeah, right.

  2. The news media are working overtime making sure we all understand that both sides are equally to blame for this. The Democrats are to blame, I suppose for being so slow to duck. You can’t really blame the media for the coverup, if the public ever really understood that it is a new thing for one political party to talk up violence against the other, they would turn against that party to such an extent that they would be sure losers for a couple of election cycles. That would be a major battle loss in the class war being waged by the wealthy against the rest of us.
