Just want to give a shout out to ‘Earth’ a David Brin novel that depicts a global warming ravaged planet circa twenty years from now. In his author’s note he said (in 1996) that he felt he had exaggerated things for the sake of story, but you read it now, and get the sickening feeling that he was being optimistic.
