Sensible quote of the day

It comes from Mass. Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren:

“I want to be blunt: We should not be fighting about equal pay for equal
work, and access to birth control, in 2012. These issues were resolved
years ago – until the Republicans brought them back.”

That oughta rate at least 4 tomahawk chops…

  1. No shit – makes you wonder just how far back they WOULD go if they thought they could get away with it…

Well, once you eliminate the minimum wage, slavery is a logical next step…

  3. As a concrete example, Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin is also on the record for being against equal pay laws and minimum wage (statement he made to a Town Hall Meeting).http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/09/todd-akin-minimum-wage-equal-pay_n_1951192.html
A few years back, he also told congresss that doctors were performing abortions on women who weren’t pregnant. (By definition, how can that be done. I wonder if he was talking about D+Cs which are used for a whole lot more than abortion).
Despite his statements, it is still considered a tight race with McCaskill.
