Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – Squall Of Confusion edition
Happy Labour day, good people!
Going to get rid of some more aging drums of Freepitude later on, but first, in case you were wondering about the Freeperati’s take on Syria –You can’t be Syriaus!

Ted Cruz: Number one, under no circumstances should we be arming
rebels who are affiliated with al-Qaeda. And this administration has
already suggested they want to arm the rebels with no reliable means of
differentiating al-Qaeda from non-al-Qaeda.
And number two, our
concern should be those chemical weapons, preventing them from falling
into the hands of Hezbollah, preventing them from falling into the hands
of al-Qaeda. That should be guiding our actions, not expressing some
moral outrage from a university faculty lounge.
…
You
know, Sean, it was striking when the protests were occurring in Egypt
against the Muslim Brotherhood, that the protesters were waving banners
that said President Obama supports Morsi, the United States supports the
radical Islamic government that is oppressing us. What a sad state of
affairs when the United States is arm and arm with oppressive Islamist
governments.

Ted Cruz is right.

Cruz is correct.
The real question is why is obama focused on Syria, hee hasn’t cared about it for two years…so why is he trying to deflect?

Note that now Syria is on the front pages, nobody is talking about
the IRS’ abuse of power of targeting conservative groups, the disaster
of Obamacare, Benghazi, sequestration, the budget, etc., etc…
Looks like Obama is achieving his objective. And he’ll get away with
it — now he wants approval from Congress, which he is not going to get,
so he will blame them, claiming that he, Obama wanted to do “the right
thing”, but Congress prevented him…

First, he organizes an “Arab Spring”-style uprising against Morsi in Egypt, then he convinces Al-Asad in Syria to bomb, shell, and gas his own people, and now he’s pushed BENGHAZZZZI all the way off the front page that it was on just three short months ago!

The Saudis hate the jihadists — they are supporting the military
leadership in Egypt against the Muslim Brotherhood – and they are
putting their money where their mouth is. They wouldn’t possibly be
supporting the Al Qaeda dominated rebels in Syria.

Speaking of Texas pols with delusions of adequacy –Rick Perry bid unites Freeperati!
Posted on Saturday, July 13, 2013 12:33:53 AM by DRey
Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Thursday that he will visit Israel in October, a move that signals to the political world that he is seriously considering making another presidential run in 2016.
“We will be going to Israel to bring together Arabs, Christian and Jews in an educational forum,” Mr. Perry told The Washington Times in an interview just three days after he announced he would not seek an unprecedented fourth term as Texas governor.
Many analysts interpreted that decision as evidence that he is setting the table for a White House campaign. Asked what would induce him to announce a run, he told The Times that he has “plenty of time to make that decision.”
Well duh. Longest-serving governor in American history; successful; Texas; tired of being governor; good looking;
His hair was…perfect.
all that jazz…of course he’s running again. Just hope he’s off the back-surgery narcotics by the time of the debates.
He did a great job as the leader and steward in Texas — jobs, jobs, jobs.
But enough about Burger King.
He’ll make a fantastic anti-Obama, or die trying.

If you think La Raza Rick could have defeated Obama you really are clueless. Romney sucked but he did at least win one debate. La Raza Rick couldn’t control his mouth in the debates long enough to stop himself from attacking the very people whose votes he hoped to get. Oh but, that’s right; you believe La Raza Rick’s abysmal debate performances were because he was taking medication. lol!

Carla Cheney, a former Walmart employee from Kemptville, Canada, claims she was fired for alerting a customer that he shouldn’t leave his dog in a hot car.
On Wednesday, shortly before beginning her shift, Cheney saw the customer put his Newfoundland—a large breed with a heavy black coat—in his truck and roll up the windows, reports the Ottawa Citizen. Cheney, who worked in the Walmart pharmacy, called the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and later confronted the dog owner after he left the store, telling him that “he should not be leaving his dog in the car.” He responded that it was none of her business.
Later that day, Cheney was called into her the office of her manager… The manager then told her she was fired…
Some estimates put the number of dogs that die each year from being left in a hot car in the thousands.
The Chicago Tribune reports that on an 85-degree day, the dashboard can heat up to 170 degrees in a mere 15 minutes.
… dogs don’t perspire like humans—which is one of the reasons why they can succumb to heatstroke in a matter of minutes

Walmart is on the liberal fecal matter list because they aren’t union, and are profitable, and are following the rules to avoid ObamaCare.
Granted, this happens to be a Canadian store, but the story can still be used for propaganda purposes.

Do Gooders need to recognize that dogs have a higher body temp than humans.
Leaving a dog in a car (with free water) where the interior temp is below 100 deg F will not kill the dog.

Maybe had she just left it with call the SPCA or Police there would be no problem, but she felt she had to confront the dog owner also. I applaud her calling in the case of abuse but she felt she had to be righteous in his face.

I worked at Walmart for a short while, nights. A long time, and good, night supervisor (8 years or more) followed a shoplifter out of the store, got the plate as he drove off. Called the cops.
He was fired the next morning at 8am when the store manager came on duty.

CORPUS CHRISTI — State District Judge Tom Greenwell was found dead from a gunshot wound Monday night in his chambers, Nueces County Sheriff Jim Kaelin confirmed.
Corpus Christi police, medics and Nueces County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded about 7 p.m. to the courthouse after a report that a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head. The courthouse closed at 5 p.m.
It was unclear how a gun could have passed through security or been within the county building, equipped with security personnel and a metal detector. Attorneys, judges, and some media outlets who have courthouse identification badges typically aren’t required to pass through the security checkpoint.

I would presume suicide.
Why would anyone take a gun, go to work, and commit suicide there? Why would his office be better than just any place outdoors?
If the suicide was a sudden decision, the victim couldn’t have a gun handy – the courthouse does not allow guns; and though it’s possible for a judge to sneak one in, there is no real need to do so. Judges have armed guards already.
If the suicide was a planned decision, why go to work, write papers whole day, and only then end it all? Who can even do such a thing, and why to do the work at all? If the work was that important, there will be more tomorrow anyway.
A judge dying in his office most likely means that he was simply there when he was killed. He couldn’t be easily killed anywhere else. A sniper could, of course, take a position 500 yards away from the judge’s house and kill him on the way home. This means that the killer was not a sniper, and he had no rifle, and he was not going to bother with establishing a [vulnerable] position. Getting to the judge in his office is certainly the most straightforward method. The complexities of getting a silenced gun, and of getting it through the detector, are purely technical, and can be managed. For example, take an overhead projector on a stand, or a computer, or a light fixture, and wheel it in through the detectors. It will beep since it’s full of metal – but who is going to take it apart to look for an extra pound of steel that isn’t supposed to be there? Who is going to remember that fact if the gun was prepositioned a week ahead of the murder?

And then…
To: Nachum
I can confirm from high level sources that Judge Thomas Greenwell committed suicide. I a was at the Nueces County Republican Club meeting tonight, and at the very end a high level official in the Nueces County Republican party announced that he had received text messages that Judge Greenwell committed suicide at the Nueces County Courthouse. This was less than an hour after this article was posted by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times at 7:03 pm CDT. He said that was the reason several courthouse employees had left the meeting early. I decided not to post anything about the cause of death until I saw something in the news media confirming that it was suicide. This was the lead story on Channel 10’s newscast at 10 pm., and they said that the investigators said it was a suicide.

Off topic but a place I just can’t figure out the freepers :
Why the differing reactions to the parents of a possible presidential candidate?
Obama is the child of a mother who was an American Citizen. Obama was born in the USA. However, his father wasn’t an American citizen as far as I know. The Extreme Reich (including the Tea Baggers) continue to clamor for his birth certificate in a format which doesn’t exist – despite the repub gov of Hawaii verifying the birth certificate.
John McCain was the son of 2 American Citizens. However he was born in a foreign country (albeit while his father was stationed there in the military and very likely could have been born on the military base). Almost nothing raised questioning if he could constitutionally become president.
Now Ted Cruz was the son of a father who, at the time, didn’t hold American Citizenship. His mother was an American Citizen. So far sounds a lot like Obama **EXCEPT** he was born in Canada. His parents weren’t in Canada for military service. Oddly, he is the darling of the same Tea Baggers demanding to see Obama’s “long form” birth certificate. But of the three I list, he is the furtherest out from a claim of legitimacy.
Conservatives have also tried to remove the “natural born” requirement so that Schwartzenager could run for prez (well, St. Ronnie was and actor and Arnold appeared in many more pictures and pictures with higher budgets, so isn’t Arnold the natural choice)?
Admittedly, “natural born” hasn’t been adequately defined by judicial review. But for 200 years, the understanding has been that the prez had to have been born in the USA (or a citizen of the USA around the 1780s – not many of them still alive). For SCOTUS to step in would definitely be legislating from the bench (and questionable political motives such as Bush vs. Gore).
