Morning, good people – still trying to get through the backlog of aging freeper crapola. It’s too good to not comment on, but this feature is already too long as a rule.
Whatcha gonna do?
We’ll start off with a new one, then a few oldies.
First up – from the house of “I’m still dead!” Breitbart:
What’s The Only Job Left In America Where You Can Safely Oppose Same-Sex Marriage?
Big Government ^ | 4/8/2014 | BEN SHAPIRO
Posted on 4/8/2014 8:37:41 PM by markomalley
This week, we found out that being the CEO of a major tech company has certain job requirements: decades of experience in the field, a brilliant contribution to the internet programming world, a stellar record of interpersonal relationships with people in all walks of life, and a personal view that same-sex marriages should be approved by the government. Have the first three and not the last? You’ll be outed, shamed, and ousted. It is now obvious that in America, the left and the media will celebrate as you are shamed and paraded through the streets in stocks if you do not approve same-sex marriage. They believe that the right to privacy somehow covers government approval of same-sex marriage, but not writing a check to back a campaign against that approval. Engage in business in any aspect of American society, and you may be subject not only to the dictates of government, but to the job-killing hatred of the mob.
So, is there any job left in America in which it is safe to abide by your religious views against same-sex marriage?
CEO: You’re the “face of the company.” Sure, the check you signed was personal. Sure, you didn’t use any company funds, have always abided by the non-discrimination rules of your company, and have never once been criticized for unfair treatment of homosexuals. That doesn’t matter…
Nun: So, you represent an institution that has for thousands of years considered homosexuality a sin. You tell children at a school for that religious institution that homosexual relationships are not as valuable for the production and raising of children as heterosexual relationships. You paraphrase the Bible and the Universal Catechism of the Catholic Church. Well, now you’re busted…

I hear the Westboro Baptist Church has an opening.

I predict that religious organizations will be the only “safe” place of employment for social conservatives. It’s a question of fitting in the office culture.

I predict you are dead wrong. Any religious organization that does not conform will be labeled a dangerous cult and hunted down. Re-education camps. Tanks. Napalm.

Girl scout … has gun pulled on her … trying to sell him cookiesThe Daily Mail Online ^ | February 4, 2014 | Mia De Graf
Posted on 2/4/2014 1:20:06 PM by Uncle Chip
A girl scout selling cookies was left traumatised after a customer pulled a gun as he opened the door.
The seven-year-old and her father were fundraising on Strawberry Tree Lane in Temecula, California, with a tin of baked goods on Sunday morning.
But at 11.30am she knocked on a door and was met with a deadly weapon.
The pair scarpered, horrified, and called the police. John Michael Dodrill, 59, has been arrested and charged with the offence, and is due to appear in court tomorrow…
Her father, who witnessed the alleged offence, called the police.
Two handguns and two rifles have been seized from Dodrill’s home, reports claim…
[And don’t you just love the way this article ends with a commercial for Girl Scout Cookies]
The girl is a member of the San Gorgonio Girl Scouts, which will join its sister groups in celebrating National Girl Scout Cookie Day this weekend.
The sale of Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, and other favorites bring in $790 million each year.
The trade is also touted as a way to give young girls invaluable life experiences, and to teach them about the values of business ethics and people skills.
Girls are encouraged to get out and ‘spread the word’ to potential customers this Friday and Saturday.
Scouts spokesman Jua-Nita Houston said the girl was shaken by the incident but would not be deterred from fundraising.
Ms Houston said: ‘She set very strong goals for herself, and she’s going to meet those goals.’
*********************************************
It’s not everyday that a girlscout gets to take down a gunowner and meet her cookie sale quota in one fell swoop.
I’m sure there has to be a special merit badge in there for her somewhere from the GSA.

I just wish you and every other fuckhead who’s rooting for the sociopath that scarred that little girl for life would have all your belongings confiscated and sold to pay for all the therapy she’s gonna need.

Someone I don’t know comes walking and knocking on my door, I’d be armed up, too.
Wouldn’t actually SHOW my weaponry until threatened, though.

Last summer, I saw a man run at top speed through my large fenced back yard, to the front yard, at a full run. I grabbed my handgun and threw open the front door, hiding the weapon. The man was standing on my front porch, out of breath, about to knock on the door. Turned out to be one of my lawn guys, just checking to see if I needed a mow out back. Glad I didn’t scalper the poor guy.

Is that how it goes?
To: MeshugeMikey; All
He also seems to be a conservative, from the amount of stuff about the constitution on his website.
I am highly skeptical that he ever pointed the gun at the girl. I have seen way too many hoplophobes make that claim just because they see someone with a gun. One webpost even recommended that people say that when desribeing open carriers to police.
I would very much like to hear his side of the story.
In my opinion, having a gun in your hand when you open to door is just being prudent.

Next up – Will Orly Taint CPAC again this year?
Pamela Geller Shouts Down Orly Taitz At CPAC Panel. (Told She Was Being “Inappropriate”)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awY26-jX4hM&feature=player_embedded ^

Taitz interrupted the panel with birther questions, but was told she was being “inappropriate”
During a panel on Islam and national security by CPAC’s “Uninvited” anti-Islam activists, birther queen Orly Tatiz interrupted the question and answer session by repeatedly asking about President Obama’s birth certificate, and demanding that the panel explain why it wasn’t addressing the topic.
“I think there’s enough substance on this panel, I mean how many topics can you handle,” Pamela Geller, the blogger for Atlas Shrugged, shot back. “Inappropriate. really.”
“We are not a birther site,” the moderator, from Breitbart.com, told Taitz before she was shushed by the crowd. She left the room shortly after.
*************************************************************
Pamela Geller is the one who originally brought Obama’s selective service registration into the spotlight. What got the crowd into a tizzy was when Orly talked to Breitbart’s executive chairman Stephen Bannon. She asked him aggressively why he and his site hadn’t touched the issue. Bannon responded citing the late Andrew Breitbart’s own feelings on the issue, before Taitz interrupted him.
“You don’t talk for someone who is dead!” Taitz demanded.
The audience booed her down. If you ask me, acting like she did doesn’t help matters because it causes the media to focus on her and only her when we have Lt. Mike Zullo from the Maricopa County Sheriff Department’s Cold Case Posse trying to present his evidence of Obama’s forged documents to high ranking political constituents in a ‘civil’ manner.
All right, We have two camps on Orly at Freeperville:
One camp says she’s bugfuck crazy and makes birthers look crazy.
(Yeah. And cannibal serial killers give non-cannibal serial killers a bad name)
The other camp thinks she’s doing a really good job and needs to do even more insane and annoying shit.
BEGIN!
To: Cold Case Posse Supporter
Who let Taitz in there anyway?
To: Cold Case Posse Supporter
Taitz has long lost any credibility. It’s no wonder the right is made fun of when they bring up the birther issue.

To: Cold Case Posse Supporter
Well, I think Orly Taitz deserves a lot of credit for pursuing this issue. There’s really no doubt that Obama is lying about his birth certificate, and that he must have urgent reasons for doing so. He is almost certainly not a natural born citizen, and he may not be a citizen at all.
But I also would agree that this was the wrong forum to raise the issue, since CPAC’s connections to Muslim terrorists, which it refuses to discuss, is also an issue that needs to be dealt with—and it’s not a great idea to mix the two together like that. Now the media will focus on this dispute and ignore the real point of this panel.

The Breitbart people got the message on February 29, 2012, when Andrew Breitbart was Breitbarted, after meeting with Sheriff Arpaio, and so did the Clintons when Bill Gwatney was shot cold blooded so he could steel the primary away form Killary and Chelsea could be saved. Bill and Kill were totally castrated and so was John Roberts when the Godfather-like Chicago thugs showed up at a secret meeting on January 14, 2009 “and whispered some Godfather words in his ears one week before the most astute chosen justice candidate ever appointed could NOT get the swearing in ceremony done correctly!!!

Creationists are like liberals. They desperately want to hold on to their “beliefs” while reality suggests otherwise.
I agree. They’re embarrasing and dangerous to conservatism. This anti-science attitude that is co-opting conservatism is going to cost us a lot of educated suburban voters. Just wait until every guy running with an (R) after his name has to field questions from the media on how old they think the earth is.

Perhaps you ought to appear to be as skeptical of those who support the theory as those who try to come from a Biblical perspective.
Those who try to come at it from a Biblical perspective never present it as “the theory of Genesis”.
Tacticallogic wins on points.

I jumped at the last-minute invitation to hear P.J.O’Rourke comment on current events and tout his new book on the Boomer generation at the Commonwealth Club last night in San Francisco. What a disappointment! He unleashed a scathing—and not funny to me—-attack on the Tea Party and Ted Cruz. He said, “This is why politics should not be left to amateurs. Boehner is an adult. Ted Cruz is not.” Also added “The Tea Party is a big tree and unfortunately big trees attract a lot of squirrels.” In the past I have relished his writing, from National Lampoon’s High School Yearbook to “All the Trouble in the World” which kept me in stitches as I endured the vacation from hell years ago.
A conservative he is not! At least anymore! Left without buying the book. Too depressed.

P.J.O’Rourke joins a long list of what some Freepers used to think were conservatives.
We cheered Lindsey Graham during impeachment, yelled “you magnificent Batard(sic) to Karl Rove. I even remember wayyyyy back when Freepers loved Chris Mathews because he was the only reporter to go after democrats.

My thoughts exactly. What the hell happened? He had it right earlier. I remember seeing him in college, and I think he autographed that book for me.
Aside from the personalities, I don’t know how a thinking person doesn’t see Cruz as an incredible serious, intelligent person.

He’s a 5-star Solicitor General with a stellar track record. He’s calm, quick on his feet and handles every situation with nothing but professionalism. Calling Boehner the adult and Cruz not is without question the dumbest, most unoriginal thought to ever come out of O’Rourke’s mouth.
“It’s no wonder the right is made fun of when they bring up the birther issue.” –AuntB
Actually, the right is made fun of whenever they bring up anything. I know it isn’t nice to make fun of the insane, but the RWNJ bring it on themselves.
Why do they refer to Rove as a “batard”? Everyone knows he’s a canned ham with glasses.
“Hoplophobes”. This is delightful! I give full credit to Victor Davis Hanson.
