Attorney [MS Teapartier] who faced charges in Cochran wife photo scandal, has been found dead

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) –

Ridgeland police chief Jimmy Houston confirms that Attorney Mark Mayfield has been found dead at his home in the Bridgewater subdivision.

We're told he suffered a gunshot wound.

It is being investigated as a suicide.

In May, Mayfield was arrested and charged with conspiracy in relation to a political scandal.

The 28-year-old blogger, Clayton Kelly, allegedly went into a nursing home and photographed the bedridden wife of Republican U.S. Senator Thad Cochran without permission and posted an image online as part of an anti-Cochran video.

It's not clear the exact role that Mayfield played in obtaining or spreading the photo.

Mayfield was a Board member of the Central MS Tea Party.

So – a teabagger gets caught doing something skeevy (what a shocker), is exposed to national ridicule and revulsion, realizes that he's going to be tried for a felony, and offs himself rather than go to prison. Sad, but true.

Perhaps the creme de la teabag over in Freeperville will take this as a object lesson in too-crazy politics?

That same defective thinking would also explain suicide. I can see a bi-polar type lacking the judgement in an up phase and thinking that taking the picture and publishing would torpedo Cochran and make him (the blogger) a hero. Then crashing to down phase when it all comes apart, facing legal troubles and a Cochran win causing him to make a quick and permanent exit in despair.

I don’t think someone else necessarily drove him to suicide.

His reputation was ruined because of what he did. Many have killed themselves for similar reasons.

That picture was a bomb that detonated all over blogger. It was a stupid, politically naive and desperately amoral idea to think that such a tactic would work in McDaniel’s favor.

The blowback was completely obvious and predictable for even the average non-political person, so why would an above average politically engaged person do or get involved in such a politically dumb action.

That is what demonstrates the “defective thinking” involved. Only someone engaged in grandiose and magical thinking would entertain and carry out such a stupid idea, because they dismissed the instantly obvious downside. The whole operation evidenced a certain irrationality typical of manic thinking.

Mr. Mayfield’s wife was at home with him when he committed suicide. Today’s (June 28) Clarion-Ledger is reporting that she is the one who called 911 and reported her husband had shot himself. When authorities arrived, she directed them a storage room in the garage.

She later issued the following statement (as reported in the Clarion-Ledger):

“Today my husband, Mark Mayfield, took his own life. Mark was my husband for 31 years and a wonderful dad to our two sons, William and Owen,” Robin Mayfield said Friday afternoon.

“Mark had absolutely no history of any mental illness or depression. He was actively involved in his community and church and was liked and loved by all who knew him. He had no harsh words for anyone, even the people who used him for political gain. The pain we are feeling is indescribable. We appreciate the prayers and support from everyone.”

Hopefully, this will put an end to the baseless and wild speculation here on FR about what happened to Mr. Mayfield.

God’s Word tells us there are people that hate Him so much they’d rather have mountains fall on their heads than to look upon Him.

Rev 6:16
They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

Historic moment as Michael Sam becomes first openly-gay player EVER drafted into the NFL..  Daily Mail ^ | 5/11/14 | RYAN GORMAN

Posted on 5‎/‎12‎/‎2014‎ ‎1‎:‎45‎:‎45‎ ‎AM by Impala64ssa

… after getting seventh round call from St Louis Rams…and he celebrated with a kiss from his boyfriend

College football star Michael Sam and the St. Louis Rams made history Saturday night when the team made him the first openly-gay player ever drafted by a National Football League team. The highly decorated defensive end was drafted in the seventh round, 249th overall, and famously kissed boyfriend Vito Cammisano after smashing cake in his face on national television. Sam was named as both an All-American and the SEC Defensive player of the year after a stellar senior campaign last season for the University of Missouri but saw his draft stock plummet after a poor showing at the scouting combine earlier this year.

Sam was shown on television crying as he received the phone call notifying him he would indeed be an NFL player, he then kissed Cammisano before they hugged and cried tears of joy. His partner was identified by first name only by OutSports before The Verge's Tim Carmody reported his full name shortly after. 'Thank you to the St. Louis Rams and the whole city of St. Louis. I'm using every once of this to achieve greatness!!' The grateful player tweeted shortly after being picked. 'He’s a good football player,’ Rams coach Jeff Fisher told NFL Network just after the pick was announced. ‘We got a good football player… I’m excited about the possibility of adding him to our defensive front. 'I’m excited to get him on the practice field and get him going.' Sam also spoke about the possibility of detractors and distractions during a Saturday press call with reporters. 'Hey, are there going to be idiots out there and say some stupid stuff? Yeah,' Sam said. 'I'm not worried about that.'

*************

He was drafted by the RAMS of all teams? It figures. How utterly apropos.

…he’s a marginal two-star player who will likely be around for five years max…

He'll be cut by the Rams and bounce around the developmental league for a while, but will probably never play in a regular season game. But that's not the point – the point is to get the homo agenda into the No Fag League and get us to accept it.

That means there’s nine thousand empty seats on an average game. Some draw more, some less. If you were management, you’d want to find some little low-cost gimmick which would put 1,000 more fans into the stadium for those eight games. I hate to suggesting hyping this guy and hoping that 1,000 more fans show up, who happen to be gay or bi-sexual….but that’s really the card that you’d want, and the contract he gets won’t be a fantastic number. You pay a reasonable price for a marginal player, get the 1,000 extra fans to show up for eight lousy games, and enjoy more profit. If you get 3,000 more fans….man, that’d be fantastic for the bottom line.

Let's assume they gain 1000 to 3000 faggots for each game. They will also lose 5000-15000 normal people for each game.

It is very expensive to go to the game. But it was the last (other than NASCAR) faggot free event you could go to. Now men will be asked to take their son's to a place where they could very likely be molested in the men's room, or have to sit next to two faggots making out in the stands!?!?

I don't think I'd be attending any game that the faggot's team plays at.

I guess that the NFL, like the boy scouts, is dead.

They made the very same mistake that JC Penney's did. They do not know who their customers are and I would guess that they managed to piss off a whole bunch of them.

….”I wonder what their children thought about the whole thing”….

Probably nothing of it as the education system has ‘desensitized’ them from their ‘natural’ revulsion to what should be, kids are taught to “turn it off” or they’re being “bad” if they don’t tow the liberal mindset.

I have teenage grandkids now and these issues create ‘static’ among family members, as they are surely intended to do in further breaking down families….  they think I'm an intolerant bigoted nutcase.

Why The Gays Are Winning

Those who believe in traditional marriage had better get used to it. We’ve lost this battle in the culture wars. The homosexualists have succeeded in framing their situation as a struggle. Increasingly their gay pride will be seen as a struggle for equal rights and those who oppose their proclivities will be branded as racists and once that is accomplished the use of force against those who stand for marriage will begin.

If you want to know why the gays are winning read Robert R. Reilly’s excellent new book Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything. Brad Miner has an excellent review of the book here. I can’t add much to Brad’s review. He’s written what I would have written. The best thing about the book is that Reilly explains what’s happening within the gay agenda with an objective, critical stance. He simply reports what’s going on. Just the facts ma’am. The most brilliant thing is that he does so without reference to the Catholic faith, the Bible or any other religious connection. This makes his argument all the stronger for he allows the facts to speak for themselves and never has to pose or get preachy.

***********************************************

Should be titled, "Why the Sodomites Are Winning". I refuse to use the word gay to describe abhorent sexual behavior. And I would like to add another major reason the sodomites are winning. They are winning because unelected robed tyrants are overruling the will of the people on a daily basis. When I say unelected I am including the US Supreme Court, especially liberals like Anthony Kennedy that are forcing degenerate, un-Godly sexual perversion on American society just because he feels like it's the right thing to do. Afterall, he knows more than God, and our Founding Fathers, including James Madison, who wrote the Constitution. He knows more than any society in the history of the world; no society has ever allowed sodomite "marriage". So it's the robed tyrants like Kennedy that we have to worry about. They are the ones destroying all that's decent and good about America.

Exactly. The logical consequence of homosexuality is the end of humanity in one generation. If it is “good” for homosexuals, it is “good” for everyone… Ergo, good bye humanity.

…and yet they neglect to slam Chief Justice John “turncoat” Roberts, he of the ‘Obamacare is LEGAL’ and ‘Gay marriage is A-ok’ rulings.
If they had the courage of their convictions, they should be calling for Roberts to be IMPEACHED. Even if the ‘corporate GOP’ doesn’t want to co-operate, I bet they can find a few Dem votes they can browbeat into helping to force the issue.
The fact that they’re not doing this proves that they’re a bunch of cowardly wimpy whiners.
