Della and Oscar are tired of being trailed by paparazzo. I’d be more sympathetic if I weren’t the guy with the camera phone. This is the best I could muster this week but I put the Berlin-Astaire theme to good use after the picture:
Speaking of Fred Astaire, I’m sure many of you don’t know about the album he recorded for Verve Records in 1952. The Astaire Story features Fred singing many of the songs he made famous in the movies but with a jazz combo behind him. And not just any band, it featured Oscar Peterson on piano, Ray Brown on bass, Barney Kessel on guitar, Alvin Stoller on drums, Flip Phillips on tenor sax and Charlie Shavers on trumpet. It’s great stuff and Fred sang his heart out. Here’s the obvious tune given the post title:’
