Pulp Fiction Thursday: Hush-Hush Magazine

I’d never heard of Hush-Hush Magazine until I was doing some research for a post about Coach Hush Money. There’s not a lot of information out there about this sleazy gossip rag but Pulp International has a post up about the Liz and Ali cover, including scans of the interior of the magazine itself. So, if you’re into 50 year old gossip, check it out.

Here are two representative covers:

  1. Kathy Gustafson says:

I thought Hush Hush was an L.A. Confidential invention.

  2. Adrastos says:

I did too, Kathy. It wasn’t. Who knew? Not me.

    • Kathy Gustafson says:

Great movie, btw. On the QT and totally Hush Hush.

      • Adrastos says:

LA Confidential is one of my all-time favorite movies. When I think of terrible recent Oscar picks, Titanic over it and Dances With Wolves come immediately to mind. Mainstream Hollywood does not like genre pictures.

  3. Aaaargh says:

Hm, I’m curious….what WAS the big Maureen O’Hara hoax? Why DID Mr. Big fire Tina Louise?
