John Off The Kasich/Never Say Never Trump

I’ve been waiting to use that Kasich pun but thought he was going to hang in longer. I’m not sure if he’s going to support the Insult Comedian but the so-called Never Trump “movement” is folding like a circus tent. Charlie Pierce called him a Potemkin candidate, which is not far wrong. He’s a hardcore Class of 1994 conservative who doesn’t froth at the mouth and that made him a moderate in this race. I guess one could call it the Kasich of the Potemkin Moderate…

The man who’s wrong about everything, Bill Kristol is making noises about caving to the Insult Comedian:

When Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg asked if Trump could win Kristol over, he replied, “For me, it’s more a matter of character.”

“I don’t know that you can change your character at age 69, and given the things he’s said even very recently about other people, the way he demeans other people,” Kristol said. “But I mean, I guess never say never. On the one hand, I’ll say never Trump, and on the other hand, I’ll say never say never and I’ll leave it ambiguous.”

I wonder if he’ll take the advice of this old Romeo Void song:

I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
But there’s something in your eyes that says maybe
That’s never
Never say never

I doubt it. Kristol has never listened to anyone in his life with the possible exception of his horrid neo-con father, Irving, and I somehow doubt he’s going to start now.

I’ll give the aforementioned Romeo Void the last word:
