Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – last week today edition

All right, everyone – as I mentioned, last week’s Obsession wasn’t doable due to days of lightning storms here in Dallas, so please allow me to serve up some older Freepitude, meant for the post that never was.

First up – going off half-Koched!

Billionaire Kochs to Financially Back Democrats Pushing Amnesty, Free Trade
Breitbart ^ | 6/9/2019 | John Binder

The pro-mass immigration Koch brothers’ network of billionaire, donor-class organizations is readying to financially back Democrats, so long as they promise to support amnesty for illegal aliens and vote to advance free trade at all costs.

In a memo to its staff, the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity (AFP) organization announced that the economic libertarian group is set to back any elected official in Washington, DC, — including Democrats — who support their agenda of amnesty for illegal aliens and endless free trade, and oppose the GOP voter-preferred economic nationalist agenda of less immigration and tariffs to protect American jobs.

The memo read:

The threat of being primaried prevents policymakers from leading on difficult issues and driving principled policy reforms. AFP or AFP Action will be ready to engage contested U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and state-level primary races, including Republican, Democrat, Independent or otherwise, to support sitting legislators who lead by uniting with others to pass principled policy and get good things done. [Emphasis added]

The Koch effort to financially support pro-amnesty, anti-economic nationalist Democrats would come to fruition through the creation of multiple issue-specific Political Action Committees (PACs), all under the larger Koch network umbrella.

Support for free trade absolutism, amnesty for illegal aliens, and an anti-economic nationalist voting record are basic requirements for Democrats and Republicans who want financial support from the Koch brothers, as outlined in AFP’s memo:

The initiative is set to put the Koch brothers’ network of donor class organizations in line with Democrats such as Joe Biden — who has backed amnesty for all illegal aliens and continues to support the NAFTA free trade deal that eliminated nearly five million American jobs — and Republicans such as Justin Amash who opposes the use of tariffs and has previously suggested support for an amnesty for illegal aliens shielded from deportation by President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

You see, not so very long ago, it was like this :

The far left has latched onto the “Koch Brothers” as a boogieman. It’s kind of funny. The vast majority (and I mean vast) have never even heard the name much less know anything about them. And yet this seems to be their go to topic this year. It just makes them look paranoid. I hope they stay focused like a laser beam on this…

They almost sound like traitors. Keep praying everyone. God doesn’t care how much money they have to throw around. He owns it all . . .including them.

I thought they reliably always supported R candidates.

What happened to them?

Offhand, I’d say Trump happened to them.
Imagine two museum guards who see someone with a flamethrower running down the hall towards the room where all the Rembrandts are kept.
And, finally a Freeper dares to say it :

Didn’t Freepers used to defend the Kochs?

Next up – Nazi leather outfits!

White nationalist group interrupts Detroit pride event, members appear to urinate on Israeli flag Fox News ^ | 06/09/2019 | Anna Hopkins Posted on 6/9/2019, 5:19:01 PM by Olog-hai

A group of white nationalists marched on an LGBTQ event in Detroit on Saturday, demonstrating Nazi salutes and carrying weapons.

Members of the National Socialist Movement (NSM) caused outrage at the event meant to celebrate gay pride, and one member was photographed appearing to urinate on an Israeli flag.

The Motor City Pride is described on its Facebook event page as the largest pride month event in Michigan, with 40,000 people marked as attending. On Saturday, some individuals tried unsuccessfully to stop the NSM group from entering the streets, which were blocked off by police and lined with rainbow flags. […]

The group is considered one of the largest neo-Nazi organizations in the United States and is known for “theatrical and provocative protests,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Another example of Faux News leaning left in their reporting. No national socialist represents whites or nationalism (as Goebbels said, Nazis “despise bourgeois nationalism”), and Ms. Hopkins is still trying to legitimize the discredited SPLC.

On the other hand, I’ve lived long enough to see Freepers calling FOX “Faux News”.
Life is good.

Staged. It’s not like the gays don’t have nazi leather outfits.

If they were REALLY counter protesting they would’ve urinsted(sic) in(sic) the rainbow flag.

And lastly – little Whitey lies!!
Here’s What Whitey Bulger Had To Say About President Trump And Robert Mueller
The Daily Caller ^ | 9:35 PM 06/08/2019 | Scott Morefield

Deceased mobster James “Whitey” Bulger revealed his thoughts about President Donald Trump and Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation in a series of letters written to a juror who voted to convict him.

The handwritten letters, obtained by NBC News, touched on a variety of issues, but politics was a topic the “notorious Boston crime boss returned to again and again,” NBC reported.

“Trump is tough and fights back instead of bowing down to pressure — and caving in to press!” he wrote in a letter dated August 2018, just two months before he was murdered by fellow inmates at West Virginia’s USP Hazelton. “U.S. agrees with him press attacking and his reaction increases his popularity — He has my vote so far.”

Another August letter called Trump “the man of the hour” before weighing in on negotiations with China. “Feel China respects him and hesitant to try to bully him,” he wrote.

Bulger wrote 75 letters to Janet Uhlar, who served on the 2013 jury that convicted the former Boston mobster for murder and racketeering, over a five year period, NBC reported. The Cape Cod nurse and former juror felt the deals mobsters who testified against Bulger received were too lenient. While Bulger was at first skeptical of Uhlar’s stated wish to hear his story, the two eventually became friends.

“I get some strange mail at times — a grandmother from Kansas — hates Trump wants him ‘impeached,’” wrote Bulger in another letter. “She assumes I hate him? Why Because I’m in prison?”

“My bet is he’s happy with present wife and settled down,” he continued, referring to scandals surrounding the president. “No way would he wind up in Oval Office with a Monica Lewinsky — That was a scandal! Same media that attacks Trump would cover up for Bill Clinton.”

Since we’re paying tribute to our dear departed feline pals, two pics of Barbara’s own Precious Kitty.
She made it to the ripe old age of 19, and was a prissy posing little grande dame, and a very poofy girl.  She liked to walk with her tail forward over her back and head, like a 19th century society lady with her parasol. She also had an odd trait for a cat – completely round irises – not even a hint of a slit.
I still think I see her everywhere she used to hang out in the house, and she’s been gone for over two weeks.
We miss her.
See you good people next month.
