Have I mentioned lately how much I love Oscar Peterson?
Here’s another example: a 2003 documentary about his life. It’s narrated by Christopher Plummer who went to high school with Oscar in Montreal.

When my Mom was a teen in Montréal, she would sneak into clubs to hear Oscar (and others) play. Years later, Oscar lived in Mississauga Ontario – just up the road from me and around the corner from another celebrity…Colonel Sanders!
I met Oscar and his eldest son in later years at a Roland Music demonstration. Mr. Peterson Sr. was in a wheelchair, but went up to the stage to play one of the keyboards with the new gear they were showing. Always a gracious human being and a tremendously talented musician.
