711 Ocean Drive is a rare big budget film noir. It features a spectacular closing chase scene at Boulder Dam, which was renamed Hoover Dam after one of our worst presidents. Dammitt.
As you can see, the PR campaign was OTT.

Originally named Hoover Dam. Changed in early Roosevelt days. FDR changed it back
