If Trump doesn’t get the GOP nomination in 2024, he will start a civil war in the party. He will run independent, and it will be Bull Moose all over again. Remember we got when Teddy split the ticket? The income tax. Direct election of senators. And a big, fat world war. Versailles, to ensure we’d get another big, fat world war a couple decades later. Me, I’m rooting for fatalities.
DeSantis plays at dumb, but is smart enough to realize that his only path to the White House is over Trump’s dead body.
Is Trump smart enough to stay OUT of Floriduh (where DeSantis has lots of cops and nat’l guard and rando fascists and hungry ‘gators to call on)
until the 2024 nomination is done? We’ll see!
It’s like tuning in to a talk show where a favorite musician, now retired, is on to talk about some new project, and they inveigle him into playing a song for old time’s sake.
