The featured image shows how America used to treat Nazis. Things have changed because of MAGA. They’re slowly but surely moving from Nazi curious to outright Nazis. I thought the Insult Comedian hated losers: The Nazis are among history’s biggest losers. Oy, just oy.

I stole the post title from Lawrence O’Donnell’s opening diatribe last night. I only steal from the best.

Lawrence was inspired by the bombshell Politico article about racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, and downright disgusting messages exchanged by Young Republicans:

“Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.

They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n–ga” and “n–guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.”

The only thing epic about the exchange was its utter stupidity. This is what happens when a plurality of the country elects as president an Insult Comedian with a dead nutria pelt atop his head. His followers are all insult comedians now. He’s not funny and neither are they.

A rebranding of the Young Republicans is in order.  If they insist on being bigoted bozos, they should be called the Hitler Youth. This group of so-called leaders knew what they were saying was beyond the pale, but they did it anyway. To paraphrase Tom Petty, they’re rebels without a clue. But they take their cues from a man who thinks whipping up hatred is funny. He’s not funny, punching down never is.

It shouldn’t have to be said that gas chamber jokes aren’t funny. It gives lie to the notion that the Trump regime is fighting campus anti-Semitism. Instead, their goal is to gut higher education as a part of their MASA agenda: Make America Stupid Again.

So much for having a very good brain. Deranged brain is more like it. Perhaps he has mad cow disease because his verbal diarrhea seems to be contagious.

There have been a few signs of human decency from Republicans; they’ve come from the states, not Washington DC. The Kansas GOP has shut down its Hitler Youth chapter and William Hendrix has been fired from his day job with the state AG’s office. I was surprised by that as the AG is notorious wingnut Kris Kobach, but gas chamber jokes are too much even for him.

Washington GOPers have been silent thus far, except for JD Vance who called the reaction to the baby insult comedians, “pearl clutching.” Is the world his oyster or some such shit?

Yo, JD, Michael Bartels, one of the participants in this despicable exchange, works for the Trump administration. He would have been fired immediately by past Republican presidents. As of this writing, he still has a job. I thought President Pennywise liked firing people. The MAGA malaktude, it burns.

Every time we think the MAGA maggots can’t sink lower, they do. They’re all insult comedians now; make that baby insult comedians. That’s why I call them the Hitler Youth.
