Malaka Of The Week: Kimberly Guilfoyle

Ambassador Malaka meets the Evzones.

Even in an administration overflowing with hustlers and grifters, Kimberly Guilfoyle stands out. Her ex-fiancée, Trump Junior, bought her out of the Florida house they bought together for $7 million but she claims to be broke. That’s what she told Trump donor Eric Deters when she was shaking him down. And that is why US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle is malaka of the week for a second time.

Guilfoyle and Greece were made for each other. My ancestral homeland is known for corruption and nepotism: the current prime minister is the son of a former prime minister and that’s the norm in Athens. The MAGA-faced malaka is a perfect fit, especially after Eric Deters went public about her pay-to-play tease. She denies it but who believes anything said by a member of Team MAGA?

A Trump donor accused Kimberly Guilfoyle, the US ambassador to Greece and Trump family ally, of engaging in a “quid pro quo” by asking him to pay off her $100,000 debt in exchange for access to administration officials.

Eric Deters, a former congressional candidate and lawyer, told MS Now on Thursday that Guilfoyle had “ambushed” him last year with an offer to provide access to government officials if he paid her American Express credit card bill, before her US Senate confirmation hearing as ambassador to Greece.

“It absolutely was a quid pro quo,” Deters told the network in response to a Wall Street Journal report that she had pushed him for the money.

“Kimberly Guilfoyle is a grifter,” he added.

I love that the Murdoch owned Wall Street Journal broke the story. They didn’t have to do much digging: Deters gave Guilfoyle a deadline to deliver on her promises, when it expired, Deters toured media outlets giving interviews to The Bulwark and MS NOW as well as the WSJ.

Repeat after me: Eric Deters has a big mouth.

Guilfoyle’s mark provided the receipts in the form of text messages. Ambassador Malaka’s texts were unintentionally funny:

Deters shared messages exchanged between himself and Guilfoyle with the Wall Street Journal in which she reportedly pleaded: “Honey please I need you to get this done for me today.”

Deters said Guilfoyle had promised him that she would “be your Trump ride or die, forever and ever” if he made the American Express balance. Deters said he never made the payment.

In other messages, Guilfoyle reportedly raised concerns about her communications with Deters becoming public and reprimanded him for not being discreet. “Eric, I really wish you would stop papering all these things.”

Apologies for the long quotes: Guilfoyle’s language has to be seen to be believed. Honey, please.

Before Deters went public, Ambassador Malaka was already under fire for sleazy conduct involving Greek contractors and lobbyists. Honey, please.

The response from Rubio, Vance, and Trump Senior qualify as non-denial denials. They claimed to be aghast at the notion of corruption. These claims ring hollow, especially since Team Trump withdrew the United States from the European anti-corruption monitoring body with the marvelous acronym of GRECO. I am not making this up. Honey, please.

Kimberly Guilfoyle fancies herself as a femme fatale or even a MAGA Mata Hari. She’s gotten herself into a hairy situation with her grifting. She thought she had Eric Deters’ number when the reverse was true. Does MAGA face cause brain rot? Discuss amongst yourselves.

It’s unclear what fate awaits Ambassador Malaka. In a normal administration, she would have been recalled from her post or submitted her resignation. This is not a normal administration. Her grifting is small potatoes compared to that of her former fiancée and ex-future father in law: exes mark her spot including ex-husband Gavin Newsome. The Trumps are master criminals, she’s a small time con artist who thinks she’s Glory when she’s merely Reflected Glory. Honey, please.

California Congressman Robert Garcia will be the chair of the Oversight Committee when Mike Johnson surrenders the gavel. Garcia has pledged to add Guilfoyle’s Greek Grift to the list of things to investigate. She would be wise to resign and hope that an investigation will be perfunctory because Congress has bigger fish to fry. And that is why Kimberly Guilfoyle is malaka of the week.

Repeat after me: Honey, please stop papering all these things.

With our last word we go from honey please to honey don’t. It goes to Carl Perkins followed by The Beatles:
