[Bush] questioned whether a double standard was being applied to a company based in the Middle East, saying, “It’s OK for a British company to manage ports, but not OK for a company from a country that’s also a valuable partner” in the war on terror.


Senior Homeland Security officials said late Wednesday that DP World was being held to a higher standard than other international companies that operate in U.S. ports.

“Dubai Ports World has agreed to certain conditions related to cooperation and disclosure that senior Homeland Security officials say go well above and beyond what has ever been required by any company before,” CNN’s John Roberts reported.
