Tonight isdebate night in Florida.

Monday night in Fort Lauderdale is the first and only televised debate in Florida’s U.S. Senate race.
<p. The latest poll figures and fundraising totals give the decided edge to incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson. Thus, challenger Republican U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris may be swinging for the fences to make up the gap.

Viewers, too, can try to get in on the action. The organizers are accepting nominations for questions for the debate. You can submit yours for consideration atwww.beforeyouvote.org.

But the real fun startsafter the debate.

The Florida Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Democratic Caucus will host a debate watch party featuring a Katherine Harris look-alike contest in Broward County. The contest is set for 9 p.m., right after the debate, and is open to both men and women.

  1. You here at First Draft would have to work a little harder if it weren’t for Ms. Harris. I think you show her a little love, and maybe find her a real estate agent in DC, since she’s obviously going to need one shortly.
