  1. Well, now, that’s interesting. People actually sitting down to make newspapers more viable by embracing–and *improving*–the online delivery of content and advertising.
    Who’dathunk that’d be possible?
    Really, though, the ideas (especially those about advertising) are really quite good. They’re acknowledging that the “win friends and influence people by annoying the hell out of them” model hasn’t worked. I really like their idea of the two-page spread approach. That’s advertising I can live with, and it has already been working in the print world, so it should (in theory) work well in an online environment.
    How refreshing. Now if people will just take these ideas and build on them…
