Five Years

So like most important things, our blogversary slipped past me in a haze of overcaffeination and outrage at Republican idiocy. Five years ago this was a semi-password-protected site full of my ramblings about stuff and my absolute, rock-solid confidence that we would not have four more years of Worst President Ever. Though we didn’t make it up that particular hill, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished since, and of all the people who’ve participated in that, either by blogging here or guestblogging, commenting, supporting our various efforts and causes, and actually getting off the couch more often than not to do stuff.

Hats off to all of you.

A.

  1. Here’s to five more! If it weren’t for blogging, I’d never have met you, Scout, Danahy and the rest. Wheee!

  2. Congratulations on the anniversary and many thanks for keeping this blog going. It’s the first thing I read every morning.

  3. This is a daily stop for me. If I couldn’t read your beautiful rants, A, life would lose a bit of its lustre.
Here’s to many more years and thank you.

  4. Hats off right back to you, ma’am. Congratulations and looking forward to the next five.

  5. A,

  6. I’m late to the party, but I wanted to let you know how much I like your work. Congratulations!

  7. Well, I missed the party (what else is new?) but I wanted to add my thanks, Athenae.
First Draft has kept me sane amid all kinds of awfulness.
    Keep the faith!
