  1. Thanks for posting this. As someone who grew up in a small farming community in Illinois, I am not surprised by the selflessness on display here, but I am deeply moved. The story brought tears to my eyes, in part because we so rarely read about humans caring about other humans. Awesome, in every sense of the word. And an extra cheer for the dude with the pink tractor.

  3. But urban areas don’t have this. We can’t all become farmers. How do we encourage people to see themselves in the plight of of others outside the small community?
