What the Hell Kind of Place Were You Running, Scotty?

Tim Russell, a former campaign and county aide to Gov. Scott Walker, was arrested by authorities on Thursday and charged with three theft counts as part of the ongoing John Doe investigation into Walker staffers, sources said.

Computer records show Russell was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor count of theft. One source said the charges are tied to Operation Freedom, an annual military appreciation day held at the zoo.

In 2010, Walker’s county administration had asked prosecutors to investigate what had happened to $11,000 raised in 2007 for the event.

Russell’s attorney, Michael Maistelman, could not be immediately reached for comment.

Also charged Thursday was Brian Pierick, Russell’s longtime partner. Pierick was charged with one felony count of child enticement.

There’s so much FAIL and WRONG here that I hardly know where to start.

  1. $100,000 disappears, and a guy gets charged with ‘child enticement’; there are a couple pretty damn ugly stories that could be spun out to fit those facts.

  2. Sorry, typo; that should have been $11000. (Though later versions of the JSOnline story make it more like $63000)

  3. What about the psychology going on in his conservative head. Has to blame the unions for ruining the state and taking too much money ; the unions are driving the state to bankruptcy. But it is all a facade hiding from himself and others the fact that he is a crook?
And he has to quash all rights of free speech to condemn his jihad against the state workers.

  4. Shades of the Reagan Administration, when hardly a week went by without some administration official or other doing some kind of perp walk. (Obama should have thought of that kind of thing before he declared his admiration, n’est-ce pas?)
