America Held Hostage: End Game

I’m going to miss posting the Jasper Johns flag but not writing about the debt ceiling/shutdown fake crisis. It has been an utter waste of public time and money. If the wingnuts considered themselves to be public servants this would not have happened but they’re out for themselves, their base and the right wing interest groups who fund them.

The only good thing that came out of this mess was the discovery that Democrats have regained their backbones after years of caving. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi are all to be congratulated for not giving into the ludicrous demands made by the teanuts. They need to keep it up because these fuckers will be back for more. It’s what fanatics do.

I’m sorry that I missed the Crack Van but I was offline after spending way too much time on the computer of late.

I have two musical selections to celebrate the end of this ridiculous hostage crisis. First, Freddy Fender with the Texas Tornados:

This tune is dedicated to Speaker Boner:

  1. Thank you for your coverage. I found it so helpful to have a daily update to see what things I had missed each day. At the same time, I don’t think my anger threshold could have taken the stress of reporting the details each day.
    Thank you.

  2. Plus, let me publically admit that while I voiced my dubious opinion on your projection for them finally coming to an agreement, as facts unfolded, you were correct on your prediction of timing to within a few hours. Kudos.
Now I can’t wait to see an official estimate on how much a blow the shutdown gave the economy. Early predictions were that a 3-week would be 32 billion dollars. (That’s right, just shy of a third of a trillion).
