Friday Catblogging: Who’s following me?

Here’s a wee feline stil life with a sprawled Della Street looking over her shoulder at the Big O. Do cats even have shoulders?

  1. Chief says:

They have ‘shoulder blades.’ Why wouldn’t they have shoulders??

  2. MichaelF says:

Cats have shoulders, but no collarbones.
Like the trunk — does it say House of Representatives, US Congress? Just wondering. Nice rug, too.

  3. pansypoo says:

    they have armpits.

  4. BlackSheep1 says:

they haven’t got collarbones (I did a major paper on cats a few months ago) but their forelimbs are analogous to those of horses, dogs &C. So they have shoulders. Just really skinny and flexible skeletons generally.

  5. PurpleGirl says:

They are made of rubber. So they are highly flexible. How else can they take the weird positions they do when they sleep and be comfortable. For example, sleeping with their heads resting the rim of something and hanging over the side.
