OK, folks – I’m still overwhelmed with aging barrels of Freepitude to dispose of, but we’ll start with a new one, then jump to the back of the Gohmert pile.
First up – long-lasting Boehner!
Breaking: John Boehner has agreed to stay on as Speaker
Fox News ^ | 10/8/2015 | Bret Baier

Having Talked to several senior aides on Capitol Hill (along with Chris Stirewalt and his sources on the Hill tied to the leadership) here is the picture that is beginning to form.
Speaker John Boehner has agreed to stay on as Speaker–not just until the Caucus nominates someone –but, until that person can confirm 218 votes on the House floor (needed to take the Speaker’s gavel). Short of that – Boehner will stay on for the rest of this Congress and steer legislation that is pending.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you – a Free Republic FIRST!

That’s right, folks – this is the comment made by the OP, not in response to the OP.
Usually they get a comment or two in before mods have to start yanking shit.
And now for the exploding head parade!
So he quit. But, when he can’t get his chosen successor, he un-quit?

Why did the Freeperati take Boehner’s premature withdrawal so hard?
Because they went from this:

Can We Recalibrate? (Red State)
RedState ^ | August 14,2014 | By: Erick Erickson (Diary)
Posted on 8/14/2015 1:39:45 PM by HojczykI want to beat Hillary Clinton next year. I want to beat her with a Republican who is not just another party apparatchik surrounded by lower level party apparatchiks within the Republican Party.
But I know we cannot beat Hillary Clinton with this level of anger. We won’t be able to draw people to our side and our cause like this.
I get the anger. I do. I am angry at the betrayal and the repeated lies from Washington Republicans who say they love children, but won’t even defund Planned Parenthood.
I get the anger of voters who sent men and women to Washington to fight Obama only to give him a blank check and keep Obamacare funded.
But I don’t get this anger. If this is the anger that flows out of Trump supporters, I do not think it is sustainable. Yet it comes daily. It is poisonous to debate, to democracy, and to the soul itself.
Yes, Republican voters have been betrayed. But I do not think people who are angered at the present President demeaning the integrity of the Presidency will ultimately side with any candidate whose base of support generates rage and hate. I refuse to believe that the people angry at Washington and the GOP have let their anger consume them. But the people in these emails and so many like them have been consumed by anger.
Those of you who see it within the ranks of the candidate you support, and not just with Trump supporters, need to try to channel the anger and draw out the happy warriors.
Conservatives must be happy warriors. Those of faith already know they’re on the winning team and the issues are far larger than the day to day politics of this country.
That “happy warrior” bullshit is Jeb Bush talk. Erick is a frigging establishment RINO who’s sold out for notoriety, fame and fortune in the go-along, get-along appeasing Republican establishment world of power, money and influence.
He can go peddle his sh!t somewhere else.
And I’ll be damned if I ever click on a link to RedState again!
Oh just shut up, Erickson, and go away!

Megyn Kelly Is Going On Vacation After Igniting Donald Trump Feud

Posted on 8/14/2015 10:52:36 PM by hapnHalMegyn Kelly will be the first to tell you she’s had a busy week after locking horns with Donald Trump – so she’s taking a vacation.
In a clip from “The Kelly File” posted online, the Fox News host told viewers that she will be gone for the next week and a half, while she is spending time at the beach with her husband and kids.
“It’s been an interesting week and a long six months without a vacation for yours truly,” Kelly said.
The timing of the announcement raised more than a few eyebrows. After Kelly challenged the billionaire GOP candidate for his sexist comments about women during the first presidential debate, Trump’s remarked that Kelly must have had “blood coming out of her whatever.”
The remark caused a rift between the former reality TV star and the news network, and Kelly has said she will not apologize to Trump for doing “good journalism.”
Fox boss Roger Ailes reportedly stepped in to mend those ties – which included offering Trump screen time on Kelly’s namesake program – and Fox hosts have remained relatively quiet about the feud since.
For a ‘period’ ? I see what you did there…Free-bleeding from her wherever, no doubt. /dry> /ok, *that* was a poor choice of words>6 posted on 8/14/2015 10:56:18 PM by grey_whiskers (The opinions are solely those of the author and are subject to change without notice.)
Donald Trump: Tax the rich more [and middle class less]
Gant Daily ^ | Aug 27 2015 | CNN
Posted on 8/27/2015 7:58:23 PM by WilliamIIIDonald Trump is finally showing us more of his economic plan beyond the “Make America Great Again” slogan on his red hat.
America has now learned:
— He wants to tax the rich more and the middle class less.
— He wants to lower corporate taxes.
— He wants to cut government spending and stop raising the debt ceiling.
“The hedge fund people make a lot of money and they pay very little tax,” Trump said in an interview Wednesday with Bloomberg. “I want to lower taxes for the middle class.”

Oh yeah, Trump’s plan sounds just like Reaganomics, NOT!
Reagan’s Speech 1981 (The Standard)
I don’t envision the Donald ever giving a speech in content or quality such as this, but I sure as heck could see Ted Cruz give one.
Time to wake up on the Trump charlatan.
