Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – “The Beginning Of The End” edition

I have to admit – I’m a 50s horror movie buff. I used to sneak out of bed at midnight, tune in to the distant (distant from Waco, anyway) DFW channel 11, adjust the rabbit ears, and sit in front of the TV for movies like “The Giant Claw” and “The Crawling Eye”.

Another fave was “The Beginning Of The End”, which featured giant grasshoppers (harvested,  coincidentally, from the farmland around my Dad’s farm) attacking Chicago as a finale’.

Apparently, hundreds of thousands of the Qberts tuned into GAB to watch The Darnold swoop down upon the Inauguration ceremony, arrest/execute all of the libtards, and save the day just like “Q” promised he would.

Nope. Not even one giant grasshopper.

My beat, of course, is Free Republic, and I’m here to document what was the beginning of the end of all their shit-stupid LARPing fantasies.

Let’s get started, shall we?

How stupid do I/We feel about what happened today??

So I have been duped by Conservatives and Q Followers alike. Trump was supposed to be soooooo close to dropping info to prove Biden stole the election. What happened? Biden is now our president. Nothing on Horowitz. Nothing on Durham. Nothing on Declass. Nothing on stolen elections. Trump packed it up, split town and left us with Biden. Brilliant! It feels like I’ve been punched in the gut. I’m sure there are others out there that feel the same way. I listened, and bought into, the BS about saving the world… Yadda Yadda Yadda. I am done. I believed the hype and have nobody to blame but myself. That is all. It was fun while it lasted.

Only the Q morons are surprised by what happened today.

The rest of us knew Trump was leaving weeks ago.

Only the tik tok crowd was surprised that the latest declass was a bust.

I think it will be a while before we can really see what worked and what didn’t for the Trump administation.

But one thing I can see:

epic “owns” on twitter are no substitute for getting loyal and competent appointees confirmed.

and insulting the media is not adequate compensation for not passing significant legislation and changes to laws.

Posted on 1/20/2021, 5:56:32 PM by eekitsagreekCan someone please explain this to me? Trump said “we caught them all”, so I would assume to mean he has the evidence to prove it was stolen.

What happened to that?

Trump is highly given to hyperbole. Does it all the time. Says he’s had the greatest this that and the other in history, which is bulldookey most of the time.

This would be just another of his blow-harding self-congratulation. You have to learn to take his words with a grain of salt.

Take my views for whatever you think they are worth.Donald Trump is an offensive man. He has contempt for his marriage vows, for the rights of women near him not to be subject to his predatory behavior, for the truth, and for the reasons why America has been a great nation. He exerted his rich-man influence to dodge the Vietnam draft. He is an egomaniac, and everything during his time as president was subordinated to his egotism. He believes the way to get things done is to insult those who are against him rather than accept his power as POTUS was limited, and therefore he should not go off half-cocked. Still, when one makes these claims, Freepers who have already drunk the Kool-Aid say “No, because TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!” Donald Trump is just a man, and personally not a very impressive man at that. He is not a god. He is as flawed as the rest of us.

Still, there are many Americans who are absolutely revolted by Mr. Trump’s conduct, including but not limited to while in office. Freepers, and especially Q fans, may not see it, but it is true just the same.

In 2020 he threaded the electoral-college needle, but in 2020 it just wasn’t there.

Many Americans who are not die-hard Trump fanatics were repulsed by what happened on January 6. So the left will hang this around the neck of conservatism for as long as they can get away with it.

And speaking of the Trump! cult, to place any stock whatsoever in what some anonymous Internet dweeb named Q! says is just not rational. I have been here long enough to remember 1998, the Clinton impeachment year, when a Freeper named quidam (whose account is still active, BTW), got Freepers all hot and bothered by sending out similarly cryptic messages indicating Bill Clinton was going to be removed from office.

Who was responsible for the Q lunacy? Perhaps we will never know. But it is incumbent on all conservatives to always ask, even if the future of someone they (unreasonably, IMHO) adore is at stake, to ask whether, given thousands of years of human history, a claim about what is going to happen is reasonable.

Persuading people that the conservative POV is the correct one is essential. Right now, given the way the country is (and it is that way, like it or not) this is hard work. This all the more true if so many Americans see the avatar of conservatism, Donald J. Trump, as a fundamentally repugnant man. A certain sort of Freeper may be incapable of processing this. But the country is what it is. And whining for two months before encouraging people to go down to the Capitol and do what is necessary (and breaking one’s promise to march down with them, which Trump! in his typically cowardly way did in his address on Jan. 6) is not going to persuade the country as it is that the claims of Donald J. Trump, despite the recorded vote totals and refusal of over 50 courts nationwide to acknowledge that that any objection to this is not meritless, that the election was “stolen” deserve any respect. Americans judge the credibility of claims like this by what the courts say, and on that score Mr, Trump’s batting average is .000. The certainty that people have that Trump! is right because of videos they saw on the internet and the testimony of some people who have some knowledge of statistics (and Sydney Powell and other crackpots) is just not enough.

Conservatives from now on need to do better than this. This is the country we live in, deal with it..

I expect, but am not certain, that I won’t get banned for this.

Ok – let’s move on for some serious analysis of Rudy to the rescue!!!

Rudy Giuliani will represent Trump in second impeachment trial
Conservative Review ^ | 01/16/2021 | James Anthony
Posted on 1/17/2021, 9:17:25 PM by SeekAndFindPresident Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani went on record saying that he’ll be part of the defense team in the impeachment trial before the US Senate in the near future. While the date for the trial to start hasn’t been set yet, it is expected to take place in the days following the scheduled inauguration of Joe Biden on Wednesday.”I’m involved right now … that’s what I’m working on,” said the ex NYC mayor, according to ABC News.Giuliani to this day claims that there was widespread election fraud that could easily have changed the outcome of the elections, and plans to introduce and re-introduce evidence at such impeachment trial, both to defend the President and to further raise awareness. Dozens of courts have dismissed or ruled against claims brought forth by the Trump legal team.”They basically claimed that anytime [Trump] says voter fraud, voter fraud — or I do, or anybody else — we’re inciting to violence; that those words are fighting words because it’s totally untrue. Well, if you can prove that it’s true, or at least true enough so it’s a legitimate viewpoint, then they are no longer fighting words,” mentioned Giuliani.Giuliani went on, suggesting that Trump should move for a dismissal:”If they decide to bring it to a trial, [Trump] should move to dismiss the impeachment as entirely illegal. That it was the only impeachment ever done in what, two days, three days. We would say to the court, ‘You are now permitting in the future, basically in two days, the Congress can just impeach on anything they want to.”

Mike Flynn: How About Some “Limited” Martial Law And A Military-Run Election Do-Over? ^ | December 2, 2020 | ALLAHPUNDIT
Posted on 1/19/2021, 12:24:17 AM by ransomnoteSNIP the link in his tweet and it’ll take you here, where you’ll find this:

When the legislators, courts and/or Congress fail to do their duty under the 12th Amendment, you must be ready Mr. President to immediately declare a limited form of Martial Law, and temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of these federal elections, for the sole purpose of having the military oversee a national re-vote. A vote that assures a fair election in every jurisdiction and reflects the true will of the people. Federal candidates only. Paper ballots. No computers. Hand-counted with both parties watching every vote. Only registered voters. Photo ID to prove residence. Conducted safely with everyone wearing masks and six feet apart, just like we did in Ohio. Only then can the winning candidate be accepted as legitimate by a true majority of We the People who must give our consent to be justly governed! Unfortunately we are at a point where we can only trust our military to do this because our corrupt political class and courts have proven their inability to act fairly and within the law.

You must also act, like Lincoln did, to silence the destructive media’s one-sided propaganda designed and proven to influence the election outcome, and end the unlawful censorship of Big Tech, to restore the confidence of the American People in our electoral process or we cannot continue as a nation. Failure to do so could result in massive violence and destruction on a level not seen since the Civil War. Limited Martial Law is clearly a better option than Civil War!

The piece begins with a reminder that Lincoln imprisoned newspaper editors and political critics during the Civil War, in case you’re wondering what Flynn has in mind in that second paragraph. I say this in all sincerity: I’m surprised that Trump hasn’t retweeted Flynn today or tweeted out a link to the “We The People” page with some sly comment attached like “Interesting idea!” It’s an uncharacteristic show of restraint, especially now that his cronies have begun to turn up the heat on what they’ll support to keep him in power.

Sidney Powell Asks Supreme Court to Dismiss Her Case from Georgia
GP ^ | January 19, 2020 | Joe Hoft
Posted on 1/19/2021, 2:52:00 PM by White Lives MatterToday attorney Sidney Powell asked the US Supreme Court to dismiss her challenge to the presidential election results in Georgia. The Washington Examiner reported:With just hours to go before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, Trump ally Sidney Powell dropped her remaining challenges to the presidential election results in Georgia…… Snip……Of course Powell knows that there was broad voter fraud in the state of Georgia which ended up stealing the election for Joe Biden in that state. It is unknown why she is asking to dismiss this case……. Snip……Powell’s requested dismissal of her case in Georgia is puzzling. Has the Trump team given up or is there some other reason Powell requested the case be dismissed?

  1. Poking around on Facebook last night, I saw a page for a guy who was a year ahead of me in high school decades ago. I haven’t had any contact with him for all that time. Hoo boy! “Marinated in the deepest Q nonsense” doesn’t begin to describe his feed. Reading through his posts for the last three weeks is like a chronology of the craziness. He got one or two timid pushback posts from people who know him, and while he was generally respectful (“Yeah, maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am”) in replying, he stuck by his posts even when they were proven 100% wrong. Next big date for these kooks appears to be March 8, though it’s unclear just what’s supposed to happen then.

    1. March 4th is the original pre-FDR inauguration date. They’ve convinced themselves this is the “real” date that Trump will be sworn in on.

  2. “Tune in tomorrow morning for the rest of the sweet sweet tears.” I don’t think I can handle much more.
