Album Cover Art Wednesday: De Stijl

As a fan of De Stijl art movement, it’s good to know that I’m not alone. Jack White is a fellow devotee of the early 20th Century Dutch art movement.

Here’s how the album’s Wikipedia entry describes it:

Vocalist Jack White had been an admirer of the style for some time, especially of furniture designer Gerrit Rietveld. Rietveld designed the Rietveld Schröder House, which Jack and Meg White visited while on tour in the Netherlands. De Stijl was dedicated to both Rietveld and Blind Willie McTell.
