Remember The Epstein Files?

So Tik Tok was supposed to be sold to a new owner or banned, but since the President BFF With A Pedophile administration doesn’t follow rules, the White House launched a Tik Tok account Wednesday. And yes, it’s as sad sack as you might be thinking it is.

The guy in charge of it, Billy McLaughlin, suddenly resigned from his administration job to return to private life after the launch, and he wrote a farewell essay for Fox News. And it’s so terrible:

As I step away from my role at the White House and return to leading my public relations and digital firm, I do so with pride. We did not just manage accounts. We reinvented how people experience the presidency online. Others are only now beginning to understand that reality. We will continue to lead – because we not only understand the tools. We understand the Americans who use them.

It’s so terrible that I think he actually wrote it himself, instead of using AI.

Or maybe not:

That agility was only possible because of President Trump. His decisiveness gave us the freedom to move fast and take risks. Whether it was an ASMR-style video of deportations, a Jedi Trump with a bicep vein battling the deep state, or a surreal “Make It Rain” Gemini AI-generated storm of cash over the White House, every post had intention. Every choice matched the cultural moment.

You may remember the Jedi meme—it’s the one where PBWAP holds a red lightsaber while calling his opposition the “empire”. Except the good guys use blue or green lightsabers.

I fully expected that McLaughlin was a young guy which would explain his cringey writing and digital output. Well, I was wrong–this is who he is:

However this does explain why Mr. We Understand The Americans Who Use Them failed so spectacularly with the launch of the WH Tik Tok account. While the WH might be OK with pedophiles, the American people aren’t. And even though the administration is saying and doing every stupid thing it can think of (like painting the border wall black so it will be too hot to climb (well, except at night)), as it turns out the American people aren’t, and they want the Epstein files released.

And what better way to show your interest in the Epstein files than the comments section?:

The comments are pretty funny, and for some reason they are still up, for now. It’s one positive thing that the administration has done for Americans, even if it was born out of the same cringe that is hurting Americans in other places.

Here’s a song about remembering:
