Friday Ferretblogging: Stripe Edition

Give it up for the last of the OF’s. Stripe, taking a nap with his nemesis Everett the stuffed rabbit looking on.

Stripe’s at the vet right now, recovering from having a pancreatic tumor removed. We’re trying out a new friend for him at home, and during the first couple of days he didn’t seem to like the interloper much, but it’s hard to tell how much of that could have been due to his feeling lousy.

Everett the bunny, a gift from my little brother when I was in the hospital, Stripe flat-out hates. Shortly after this picture was taken he woke up, ran over to the rabbit, bit it on the nose and shook it violently. We don’t let them play together anymore.

  1. Oh, dear, I am hoping that Cleocatra doesn’t try to rid the house of its new resident, post-surgery Fluffy. He is limping about and if she knew she could take him, it might go badly for him. Shhhhhhhhhhh. (pics at cabdrollery)

  2. I dearly hope liddle Stripe feels fine soon, fine enough to turn his bunny enemy into scattered bits of fluff. Not that I wish Everett any ill — lil’ bro was very sweet to bring him to you in your hour of need. But if Stripe could vent whatever hostility he feels on the inanimate bunny, he might warm up to the ferret friend you’re test-driving right now. Lots of healing vibes and virtual chicken soup coming Stripe’s way.
    Peace, V.

  3. Awww, feel better, little Stripe.
Caption: I am going to ignore that blasted rabbit while I pose for my adoring public. Its called, cuteness-under-pressure
