The long arm of the law, in your uterus

I feel more empowered already.

“Today’s ruling is a victory for all who stand in defense of life. Every life lost to abortion is a tragedy, and this important sonogram legislation ensures that every Texas woman seeking an abortion has all the facts about the life she is carrying, and understands the devastating impact of such a life-ending decision. We will continue to fight any attempt to limit our state’s laws that value and protect the unborn.”

We will, however, continue to dismantle and destroy those laws and systems that value and protect living children.Once they’re born, those little suckers are on their own

  1. “We will, however, continue to dismantle and destroy those laws and systems that value and protect living children.”
And trample on the rights of women to make decisions about their own lives.
Ah, limited government. Ain’t it grand?

  2. This would be the “have your vagina penetrated by a foreign object, even if you don’t want or need it before having a legal medical procedure” law, right?
No wonder you feel empowered. Texas, objectively pro rape.

  3. The Department of Justice just updated the definition of rape for the purpose of national crime reporting statistics. The new definition includes penetration by a foreign object. It also removes the requirement for “forcible” in order for a reported crime to be included. That means coercion’s on the table.
How is what’s happening in Texas NOT rape by the new federal reporting definition? Huh? “We get to shove this probe in you or prevent you from getting a legal medical procedure, cuz we said so”??

  4. Hey, look, think like a wingnut for a minute:
If we don’t make sure that every fetus is carried to term, how can we ensure a generous supply of cannon fodder for all those wars we’re itching to fight?
    On to Tehran!…On to Islamabad!…
