The tribute to Levon Helm continues with 4 tunes from a 1970 show in Pittsburgh at the Syria Mosque; not sure why it was called that but I doubt if any Assads were present.
Despite some of the nonsense floating about the interweb about Levon being *the* lead singer of the Band, they had 3-Levon, Rick Danko and Richard Manuel-all of whom contributed to the rich and unique harmonies of the group. And they’re all gone and greatly missed:

“…at the Syria Mosque; not sure why it was called that…”
Syria Mosque = Shriners. It was a major concert venue in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh until it was demolished in the ’90s. I saw Joni Mitchell* and Lou Reed concerts there back in the day. Way back, I guess.
*After demolition, they put up a parking lot. No joke.
I figured it was either Shriners or Masons. Thanks for the info.
They tore down the Syria Mosque? That was a great venue. I saw dozens of bands there. Jesus, and they put up a parking lot? Damn.
