I live in a pretty awesome place:
It’s 15 states now, where marriage is an equal right. Ten years ago it was zero. I hope it doesn’t take another 10, to get the next 15.

every now and then, the illinois general assembly does something to justify their miserable existence.
i’m actually rather proud of them today.
8 weeks ago, I moved 700 miles north across the Mason Dixon. After a lifetime spent in Mississippi and Kentucky, it felt damn good to wake up in a state that recognizes marriage equality.
