OK, folks – after slacking off last week, there’s a year’s end worth of Freepitude to dispose of.
ISO suits on – doors closed – blowers on high – here we go!
One of Freeperdom’s longest-running conflicts between moderators and posters is the infamous here’s-a-sexual-predator-is-she-pretty-then-innocent contretemps. Apparently, it’s still a thing, despite the attempts of the occasionally aware Freeper pleading to their peers to stop that shit, and mods killing threads.
Pennsylvania ‘cheer mom’ Arrested for having Sex with Daughter’s Classmate in Parked Car
Noo Yawk Daily News ^ | 24 DEC 2014 | Joel LandauPosted on 12/29/2014, 5:05:22 PM by Old Sarge
Iris Gibney, 42, allegedly met the student at a Pottsgrove High School while helping her daughter’s cheerleading squad. They started talking on Twitter and Gibney then allegedly sent nude pictures of herself to the boy. An officer caught her and her victim having sex in a car parked illegally at a public park.

To: Old SargeShe’s innocent…but only in the Liberal world. In that world where everything is relative and there is no evil and wherein the sexual urge is a natural phenomenon…why would this woman be guilty…And what is she guilty of? Of being human and having a libido? It is only in the Judeo/Christian world where she would be held responsible for her dalliance. In the Liberal world, she must be acquitted.
To: Red_Devil 232; Old SargeI think the reason Old Sarge didn’t find anything when he searched was that there have been not one but TWO previous threads (per Google Advance Search) that have been pulled.
“No Thanks”.
And this thread is just tittering on the brink of being pulled also.
Ooops. I said tit… Blame me when this is gone also.

Sarah Palin Reportedly Donates Only 5.5% of PAC Money to Actual Candidates
Mediaite ^ | October 20th, 2014 | Tina NguyenPosted on 10/25/2014 1:56:31 PM by Bratch
Sarah Palin‘s PAC is extremely stingy when it comes to donating money to her fellow Republicans: a report from Open Secrets reveals that since the 2014 two-year election cycle began, her PAC has raised a total of $2.7 million dollars, but only donated $150,000 of that money to actual candidates, a donation rate of 5.5%.
This year was even worse: according to SarahPAC’s third quarter filings this year, they had $1.4 million cash in hand, but only donated $45,000 to nine Congressional candidates — about 3% — between July 1st and September 30th. What did they spend the rest on?
Many of the same consultants she has used all along — for speechwriting, fundraising, logistics and research. There’s even someone paid to consult on “coalitions.” Travel, presumably for Palin, is part of the equation; a PAC like this is useful for keeping a high profile nationally without having to pay those pesky airline and hotel tabs out of personal funds. And the PAC sent $10,885 to HarperCollins — publisher of all three of Palin’s books — for “books for donor fulfillment.” That wasn’t the only book purchase by the committee: A lump sum of $13,000 was listed as being spent for “lodging, SUV rental, books for donors.”
According to OpenSecrets, Palin’s PAC is notoriously “parsimonious,” noting that “of the 417 leadership PACs that made at least one contribution in that cycle, SarahPAC was one of only 19 to give less than 10 percent of its total expenditures to candidates, other PACs or party committees.”
They also note that many of the candidates she’s donated to in this quarter are either extremely long shots or no longer in the running. For instance, she donated $5,000 to Joe Miller, a Tea Party candidate who attempted to run for the US Senate seat held by Democrat Mark Begich. “Miller lost to Dan Sullivan in the GOP primary, but Palin has not seen fit to donate to the Republican nominee, who is locked in nearly a dead heat with Begich,” Open Secrets observed, and added that Palin herself has only donated $628 to a federal candidate in her entire life.
SarahPAC has yet to publicly comment on the story.

Still it sounds bad….. really bad
Why give a Tea Party guy only $5000. when you have raised several million$?
I don’t care where the story came from…
if she is spending $ raising $ so she can spend more $ raising $ ….its time to stop the charade

I wonder what’s up also. Why are FReepers posting these stories so frequently? It seems the Left loves their people devotedly, but we love to destroy ours.

If this story is not true …that is something entirely different.
But if it is true and Sara Palin is essentially running what is the same as a phony charity she deserves criticism not defense

To: Dilbert San Diego“To say Sarah spends only “X” percent in this way or that, is meaningless unless you know what the norms or expectations of spending by these PACS normally are.”
No way.
That’s like saying a murderer surrounded by other murderers should not be condemned because he only stabbed the victim 10 times instead of the norm of 15.
This article has some ugly stuff in it.

“Open secrets uses public records and they are very reliable. They are probably right donate directly to the candidate of your choice and avoid a middle man.”
The figures are taken directly from required campaign finance documents.
I am currently very heavily solicited by Tea Party Express and various related individual campaign funds. But it is really the Sal Russo operation in Sacramento.
The entity takes a percent commission on funds raised, another percent commission on ads placed, plus salaries to key employees.
So get yourself a PAC, and make some money too.

McConnell’s first big challenge: Keeping a lid on Ted Cruz
Yahoo News ^ | Meredith Shiner and Jon Ward Posted on 11/5/2014 3:56:30 PM by SoConPubbie
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, waves to the crowd at a Republican victory party on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, in Austin, …
WASHINGTON — Within minutes of polls closing in Kentucky, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell was declared the victor of a race some doubted he could win and many more hoped he would lose.
Like most recent congressional leaders, McConnell — who in 2009 declared that his party’s No. 1 goal would be to defeat President Barack Obama — had become a powerful symbol of his party and a major target for Democrats. His win in Kentucky Tuesday night was the first step toward realizing his career-long dream of becoming Senate majority leader. Outlining his potential approach toward leading the Senate, McConnell delivered what rang at first blush as a wildly optimistic view.
“Just because we have a two-party system, doesn’t mean we have to be in perpetual conflict,” McConnell said in a lengthy victory speech in Louisville hours after polls closed.
A divided, partisan Washington, however, is only part of the problem for Congress. The more pressing problem for a potential Majority Leader McConnell than the gulf between the parties is the divisions within his own. It’s a reality that House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio has grappled with for four years, with mixed success.
For McConnell and Senate Republicans, governing in the majority could prove to be more difficult than winning it was.
The first test of McConnell’s ability to manage intraparty divisions could come as soon as lawmakers return to Washington later this month for a lame-duck session. Congress will have to fund the government (again) to stave off a shutdown, approve a sweeping Department of Defense authorization bill, potentially approve an Iran sanctions measure, and also could clear Eric Holder’s replacement as U.S. attorney general.

I’m a little confused on the Palin percentages. Of what she took in, she gave roughly 5% to other candidates. Of the remaining 95% how much went into the bank for a future time.
If she kept 95% i the bank, no problem. If she put 1% in the bank and the remaining 94% went to fund raising, you’ve got a patently phony charity (along the lines of those who name themselves Children’s and Veteran’s Cancer Charity but spend 95% on the CEO.)
Also, as I remember it, she set up Bristol as a political consultant company. Wonder how much money for research, etc. went to Bristol – which on paper would at least look like it went for legitimate politicing, but in practice a probable shell game.
