In 2009, Dave Alvin recorded with an all-female quintet featuring Cindy Cashdollar, Nina Gerber, Laurie Lewis, Sarah Brown, and Laurie Pankratz. The resulting album Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women is one of my favorite Alvin CDs.
