Black Friday isn’t what it used to be but I’m repeating last year’s post anyway:

We have a mere two versions of this week’s tune: I’m feeling lazy today.

We begin with Steely Dan.

Here’s an instrumental from guitarist Larry Carlton and a big band. Carlton played on several Steely Dan albums.

The Black Friday of history led to the Panic of 1869. They used to call depressions panics. I guess they stopped doing so to prevent panic. Depression is inevitable.

I’ve never been one to mock people for their Black Friday shopping exploits. All I’ve got to say is this:
