Pee Wee German’s Big Adventure

It’s become increasingly apparent over the last few weeks that President Grievance has had some kind of medical incident. I was really struck by this part of his weird press conference about Tylenol. Listen to how he says “at too big a number”:

Trump: "It's too much liquid. Too many different things are going into that baby at too big a number. The size of this thing when you look at it. It's like 80 different vaccines and beyond vaccines."

That’s the sound of someone with dementia trying to convince you of something that is true in their fantasy land. It’s not a good look for the president of the US.

Not long after that President Grievance started ramping up his threats to send the military into Portland:

Another big piece of news came out of that interview, and we know about that thanks to Evan Watson, a reporter for KGW-8, the NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon. KGW obtained a transcript of Trump’s remarks and published a story midday Sunday that highlighted a stunning quote from Trump. Here is the section, emphasis mine:

Trump referenced a weekend conversation with Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, and he alluded to being told by Kotek that the reality in Portland is different from what’s being portrayed to him.

“I spoke to the governor, she was very nice,” Trump said. “But I said, ‘Well wait a minute, am I watching things on television that are different from what’s happening? My people tell me different.’ They are literally attacking and there are fires all over the place…it looks like terrible.”

I distinctly remember reading that, and immediately wondering what was going on. Turns out, the administration has been sued over it:

And it jibes with a new lawsuit filed by the city and state to stop Trump’s moves into Portland. In the suit, the plaintiffs allege that Trump has been relying on clips from violent George Floyd protests in Portland in 2020 to decide how to act there in 2025. Last September 5, the suit says, “Fox News aired a report on Portland ICE protests that included misleading clips from Portland protests in 2020. Shortly thereafter, President Trump appeared to reference events in the same misleading Fox News report when speaking to the press. A reporter asked which city President Trump planned to send troops to next, and he said he was considering targeting Portland because of news coverage the night before. President Trump alleged that ‘paid terrorists’ and ‘paid agitators’ were making the city unlivable, further stating…‘if we go to Portland, we’re gonna wipe them out. They’re going to be gone and they’re going to be gone fast.’”

It’s clear that the president is no longer getting his news solely from FOX or from briefings from staff who take the job seriously. And ever since FOX criticized him a few weeks ago, they can’t be trusted to systematically fake out the old man.

So Stephen Miller stepped in with tons of on air hits, including this one where he realized he was running ahead of schedule and hit the stop button. And you should know that if you watch that clip now on the CNN website you will see that Miller’s entire short circuit, including his mention of “plenary authority” has been scrubbed. Mmmmhmmm.

We knew CNN was bought and paid for. Now they’re brazenly editing interviews, like stripping out the word ‘plenary’ said by little Stephen Miller.

The administration is in full desperation mode right now. The Republicans are losing the shutdown as people begin to realize that they are lying about their inability to reopen the government. See, the filibuster is not in the Constitution. And the Republicans have already voted to bypass it 3 times this session alone. And the GOP has openly said it can reopen the government but it is choosing not to do so:

“That’s not in the cards,” Majority Whip John Barrasso told NOTUS.Senate Republican leadership says they will not change filibuster rules. http://www.notus.org/republicans/…

The administration is desperate for an extreme solution to their self-made problem of the Epstein files, which is why Miller is desperate to get President Grievance to invoke the Insurrection Act. He even brought a bunch of right wing nutjobs to the White House Wednesday for a whine fest about how rough they’ve had it as “independent journalists” covering the Portland carnage. The panel included both the guy who made up the Pizzagate story and a klutz who walked into a flag being actively waved by a peaceful protestor who now thinks she is a political martyr.

And then this morning the Cabinet put a full court press on the senile president with bullshit like this:

Kristi Noem: "If we have to do it the hard way in Portland and Chicago, we will."

There are going to be No Kings rallies next week. I hope they are massive all over the country. You can find one close to you here:  https://www.nokings.org/

I’ll leave you with a Cosplay Barbie blast from the past:

  1. The day after terrorizing Portland, Kristi Kosplay flounced off to the Oval Office to report to the felon everything he wanted to hear. First, because the City and the State provided beefed up security as befits a public official so widely despised (though the folks here are smart enough not to take the bait), KK claimed that officials were “hiding” all the open warfare and hand-to-hand combat.

She then went on, as liars often do, to claim that everyone she talked to, including the governor, the mayor, the chief of police and the state police were all liars. Sadly, she didn’t have enough time to actually list any of these lies, but she seemed most put out that the people of Portland didn’t put on a show for her.

I currently plan to show up at next weekend’s No Kings demonstration with a sign featuring the petroglyph She Who Watches with the caption “We are watching
    We are waiting”
