New jobless claims edged up again last week.

In the week ending March 11, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 309,000, an increase of 5,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 304,000. The 4-week moving average was 296,500, an increase of 2,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 293,750.
