    Headed to my folks in a few hours, don’t know what’s on the menu…if ONLY my brother was to surprise us w/his gumbo…*drool*
    Hmm, 9:10 a.m. here, but I am sure I can grab some andouille at the store…

  2. I will probably use my solar cooker to fix something. Last night we had a stew made of some chicken breast pieces, frozen green beans, shredded carrots, chopped onions, a can of chopped tomatoes, a can of chicken stock, and a package of tortellinis, all cooked in the solar cooker. Delicious!!

    Later, I’m planning some lasagne, if the day doesn’t turn off too hot.

  5. Mmmm. It’s homemade pizza here at Casa Athenae, with sausage and fresh mozzarella.
    Though it’s gonna be dingo soup if they don’t quit trying to pull my sandals off my feet!
    I planted all my herbs, my nasturtiums and lavendar, yesterday, even though it was chilly and rainy. Less than three weeks until our local farmer’s market starts!

  7. I grilled a buffalo rib streak & had some white bread with it. The steak was absolutely wonderful. While I don’t think this buffalo was a wild one, my doc said I could eat all the wild game I wanted, including buffalo. I must take care of my heart, after all, since America is fast losing hers.

  9. Slow cooked barbecue pork ribs, with pasta and early spring peas.
