Mercy. Talk about some punch in a turdbowl?
I’ll put it this way – I got a phone call from the Quicken Loans Arena asking if I could lease them some of our ISO room clean-up gear for afterwards.
In Freeperville? They’re getting right to the important stuff!
It’s – Plagarism for thee, but not for me!
Melania Trump speech appears to plagiarize Michelle Obama
The Hill ^ | /19/16 | Lisa HagenPosted on 7/18/2016 11:39:43 PM by Typical_Whitey
Melania Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention Monday night appears to have nearly copied a paragraph from Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Media is attacking Melania Trump.

To: Typical_WhiteyI’ll bet anyone a beer that this paragraph has appeared in spouses convention remarks since the turn of the century.
To: arl295Mooch said she was never proud of USA
Melania said the USA is the greatest
Doesn’t sound like the same speech at all.

It’s plagiarism. Yeah Obama and Biden did it too but this is politically devastating given the timing and the setting.

Liberal Media, #NeverTrump Accuse Donald Trump, Jr. of Plagiarism; Charge Refuted by Speech Author Gateway Pundit ^ | July 20, 2016 | Kristinn Taylor Posted on 7/20/2016 7:14:10 AM by bobsunshine
Liberal media outlets and Never Trump activists thought they really had the Trump campaign this time. A passage of the speech given Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention by Donald Trump, Jr., tracked remarkably similar to an article by George Mason law professor Frank Buckley….. It turns out that Buckley, a known Trump supporter, was one of the authors of the speech.
A cryptic tweet by Buckley was followed a tweet from an ABC News reporter who spoke with Buckley.
From Meridith McGraw: Just got off the phone with Buckley: “I was one of the principal speechwriters. It’s not a problem.”
It’s not a big college town, anyway.
.
To: CaptainAmiigafNow it seems the “Charge of choice” for this campaign will be the horrendous word “PLAGIARISM”. Be prepared for it.
When you’re giving them the ball don’t criticize them when they run with it.
It seems everyone has given the same speech at some point

DCGazette […] Did Melania use a few sentences that were similar to Michelle Obama’s speech? Sure, but that is common. ALL First Lady speeches resonate the same universal concepts.
The fact is, you can go back and look at Laura Bush’s speech, Nancy Reagan, and even Hillary when she was first lady and find the same type of comments.

I thought this story would remain only on a few highly political news sites, but now it seems to be have been picked up by the MSM.

It was definitely plagarized. No doubt about it. The speech writer is to blame. Who wrote it. They need to be fired for incompetence.

After the Tony Schwartz hit piece, are you sure it was not deliberate?
The silly denial is far more damaging. Blaming it on a lazy speechwriter would have been far more believable.
It raises serious questions about the competence and loyalty of Trump insiders and campaign staff. Not good.18 posted on 7/19/2016 11:22:44 AM by bjc (Show me the data!)

To: SamAdams76The only part that reflects a little badly on Melania is that she is reported to admire Mooch. I don’t share that sentiment.

To: RummyChickFYI, there are online services that check plagiarism. You simply upload the document and the service does the rest by cross-referencing millions of published texts. Very easy and relatively inexpensive.

You break the law and you preach
Screw my brain till it hurts
You’ve taken all my money and you want more, Misguided old mule
With your pigheaded rules
With your narrow-minded cronies who are fools of the first division-
Death on two legs
You’re tearing me apart,
Death on two legs
You never had a heart of your own
Kill joy, Bad guy,
Big talking, Small fry
You’re just an old barrow – boy
Have you found a new toy to replace me,
Can you face me
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye
Feel good, are you satisfied
Do you feel like suicide (I think you should)
Is your conscience all right
Does it plague you at night,
Do you feel good, feel good?
Talk like a big business tycoon,
You’re just a hot air balloon,
So no one gives you a damn,
You’re just an overgrown school boy
Let me tan your hide.
Dog with disease,
You’re the king of the ‘sleaze’
Put your money where your mouth is Mr. Know all,
Was the fin on your back part of the deal…(shark!)
Insane – should be put inside,
You’re a sewer rat decaying in a cesspool of pride
Should be made unemployed
Then make yourself null and void,
Make me feel good
I feel good.
.
See you good people next Monday!
I’m still wallowing in the delicious irony of two anti-LGBT pissants appropriating a song written by a bisexual man for their entrance theme.
The Trumpsters seem to have a problem with “invisible women”.
There’s some real question whether “Meredith McIver” is an actual person, or a Trump sock-puppet.
And photographic evidence that Pence’s daughter does not have a reflection in mirrors.
It had to have been Trump who inserted those lines in the speech – hence the lack of vetting. There is a line in the speech – “And he will do this better than anyone else…it won’t even be close” – Now who does that sound like?
McIver is apparently a professional writer who would not have made such a basic mistake. She has also apparently provided cover for Trump previously when he exaggerated figures about his wealth in one of the many self-aggrandizing books he’s had published for which she was the ghost writer. AND Trump is on video from 2008 saying he liked Michelle’s speech.
And he didn’t “fire” McIver – how could he for something he did.
