If you’re looking for clues as to which direction the train wreck called the Trump campaign is headed, a good place to start is Roger Stone’s Twitter feed. Stone is the ratfucker’s ratfucker who was, in theory, “dumped” by Trump. It’s called plausible deniability, y’all. Stone’s importance to Team Trump increased when his protegé and former business partner Paul Manafort took charge of the campaign. Manafort, in turn, is the one behind the pro-Putin policies adopted by the GOP in its platform. There are widespread concerns that Manafort is still on the payroll of former-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who is Putin’s puppet.
Back to Roger Stone but first my favorite photograph of the Nixon worshipping ratfucker:
Stone has floated several trial balloons about the future course of the doomed Trump campaign. He’s argued that Gary Johnson and the dread Jill Stein be included in any debates. It’s the beginning of an effort by the Trump campaign to duck debates while looking all small-d “democratic.” Third Party candidates can *only* be included if they’re over 15% in the polls, which is highly unlikely for Johnson and well-nigh impossible for the crackpot Green leader. They’ll try to bully Team Clinton on this point but, like Tom Petty, they Won’t Back Down:
After diving into the sewer that is Roger Stone’s mind, I thought some musical palette cleansing was in order. I think that Trump will do everything possible to duck debating Hillary Clinton. It would require him to study the issues, which he shows neither inclination nor ability to do. He’s going to grasp the “let everyone debate” straw as a way to get out of a one-on-one showdown with the Democratic nominee, a legendary policy wonk and underrated debater. He wants to have Jill Stein tag-teaming HRC. Dream on, Donald.
I’ve discussed this with some friends on Twitter who asked me “won’t he be afraid of looking weak” or “it’s free teevee time, he loves that like a pig loves slop.” My answer to that is that control and domination are essential to Trump’s pathology. If he can’t control a debate he will try to ooze his way out of his. He’s shown that he’s capable of staggering powers of self-delusion over the course of the campaign. He will convince himself that it’s the brave and heroic thing to do. Will he get away with it? Beats the hell outta me. He has, however, declared that his whole life has prepared him to debate “the Devil.” Schmuck.
Another thing floated by Ratfucking Roger popped out of the Insult Comedian’s mouth on Monday. The notion that the election is “gonna be rigged” The only way this is even vaguely plausible is if it turns into 2000 revisited and comes down to one state. That looks less likely to happen with each Trump mistake. What kind of person “always wanted a Purple Heart?” It’s a medal that nobody wants since it means you were wounded or killed in action. Trump clearly regards veterans as idiots for having served in the military. He’s the disaster, not them.
I read Trump’s declaration that the election would be rigged as a covert signal that he expects to lose. The Trumpian process of rationalization and self-delusion will eventually convinced him that it’s true. Everything he says is true as far as he’s concerned. It’s how pathological liars roll, ya’ll.
Trump’s inevitably nasty and crazy election night speech is another reason it’s imperative to roll up the score against him. He’s weak in some odd places for a Republican. In fact, Bill Clinton will be campaigning in Utah later this month. It’s probably just trolling but it’s still inspired. Mormons have shown a marked disdain towards Trump because of his rabid anti-immigrant rhetoric. In the immortal words of Lyndon Johnson, “it’s nut-cutting time.”
Since I have Tom Petty on my mind, let’s give him the last word. Why? It’s a great rocker and it has wreck in the title; that’s why.
UPDATE: I somehow missed Ratfucker Roger’s remarkable rant yesterday. It’s hard to keep with the flow of madness coming from Team Trump. I’ll give Stone the last word:
“I think we have widespread voter fraud, but the first thing that Trump needs to do is begin talking about it constantly,” Stone said. “If there’s voter fraud, this election will be illegitimate, the election of the winner will be illegitimate, we will have a constitutional crisis, widespread civil disobedience, and the government will no longer be the government.”
“If you can’t have an honest election, nothing else counts,” Stone said. “I think he’s gotta put them on notice that their inauguration will be a rhetorical, and when I mean civil disobedience, not violence, but it will be a bloodbath… We will not stand for it.”
Once again, Trump is worse than Roger’s hero Nixon.
We all knew this was coming in the sense that, in what passes for Trump’s mind, it’s impossible for him to lose, so the game must be rigged.
What’s troubling – to say the least – are the rest of Stone’s comments, where he’s egging on Trump’s followers to violence following the election.

Indeed it is dangerous, but as far as Trump is concerned, it’s not dangerous to him, and that’s all that matters. If there’s rioting in the streets and insurrection fomented in certain loonier quarters of his supporters, he’ll just go hide out at Mar-a-Lago or somewhere else while the proles battle it out. Property destroyed? Meh, he’s insured. People hurt or killed? Not his concern; he’s fine. Major media tut-tutting the whole sorry spectacle and laying some of the blame at Trump’s doorstep? Well, that will require a response! Someone get Trump’s twitter account logged on!

Finally, I will leave you with an excerpt from the paper. This paper was written back in July, and it’s hard to argue that it is not dead on:

There could be lawsuits, and wild claims of collusion against him, and strong attempts to besmirch the power-brokers, winners or even voters.”
