Morning, good people.
A lot has been said about John McCain since his death, but first impressions are always the truest. (composite thread)

I want to see the dead body before I believe it. And have it DNA tested by multiple unrelated, independent third parties.
Not letting this one escape the long arm of justice based on the say-so of his confidants. Let’s see the corpse.

Finally admitted it huh?
I guess the corpse was stinking up the place too much to continue to play “Weekend at Bernies”.

I’m sorry to hear of his passing. I believe there are things bigger than politics, and I wished that he would make a full recovery not only for his sake but for the sake of his family who loved him very much. That wasn’t meant to be, and I think we can all agree that cancer is a monster that I hope is slayed. It takes too many people and animals as well. May he RIP.
I’d add to those commenting remember how we would react if someone we really were big fans of here on FR died and the liberals left nasty comments. We must be bigger than that. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t write you have nothing nice to say, just say nothing.

To: KaslinHe now begins his never ending term in hell.John McCain, a traitor to his wife, a traitor to his party, a traitor to the uniform, a traitor to his constituents, a traitor to our country, (not sure if it ever was his country).
To: markomalleyIn the fall of 2014, I stood at Willow Beach Fish Hatchery in my Arizona County, enraged that US Fish and Wildlife refused to listen to us when we told them that ending their 50 year fish stocking program was going to have a devastating economic and environmental impact on Bullhead City and Mohave County.Out of sheer and utter frustration, I turned to Senator John McCain who was touring the facility with us (I am the Mohave County Supervisor representing Bullhead City) and I said, “Senator, I am at my wits’ end. If you can’t help us, I don’t think anybody can.” He put his arm around me and said, “Hildy dear, I am not sure what I can do, but I promise you I will do my best.”His best resulted in a cost sharing deal between US Fish and Wildlife and AZ Game and Fish to build a new pump and a contract to keep the program going – pretty much saving the fishing industry in my district and stopping an infestation of something called the “Caddis Fly.”
I have many profound political differences with Senator John McCain, but on that day, standing at Willow Beach, he made a promise to me and he kept it. For that, I will be eternally grateful.
Prayers up to Senator McCain’s family tonight.

Mods, I don’t envy your job, but maybe going through this thread and taking away those bad posts that make FR look like a bunch of people celebrating the death of the man.

This is not a very nice post but since you brought it up I will provide some friendly advice.
It is illegal to publicly urinate in most cemeteries.
It is however, almost certainly legal to bring your urine in a bottle.

Ya know, I’m not sure why they hate him so much? Because of one vote on health care?
I know they don’t care about the Iraq war (or any war) and I’m fairly certain they all worshiped him when he ran with the idiot from AK, so is it the HC vote, or just because the dumb ass in the White House hates him.
They praised McCain to the stars when he was all Our Sarah-ed.
Fickle group, no?
